The LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Black Widow Taskmaster’s Ambush (77905) is now available for purchase on Amazon. It retails for $39.99 and if you order quickly enough, you can even get free same day delivery on it. This set was a San Diego Comic Con 2020 exclusive and LEGO needed a way to sell it to fans since the event didn’t happen. Hopefully, it’ll also show up on the LEGO Shop in the future as well.
The Avatar: The Illuminated World of Pandora by bulldoozer is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The build is based on James Cameron’s hit movie and it features some memorable scenes from the world of Pandora. Packed into the build are 18 animal and 26 plant species in land, air, and sea habitats and it includes minifigures of Jake Sully (human and Na’vi forms), Neytiri, Dr. Grace Augustine, Colonel Miles Quaritch, and a Na’vi infant.
The project now joins the Boeing 737 Passenger Plane, Colosseum (Architecture Style), Gravity Falls: The Mystery Shack, Brick Town Police Station, , Red Dwarf Starbug, Avatar: The Last Airbender – YIP YIP!, Classic Castle, Open MRI, and Motorized Lighthouse as the ones that have reached the Third 2020 Review Stage.
Amazon currently has a limited time offer for you to save $10 when you spend $50 on select LEGO products. The page shows there are 61 qualifying items to choose from but I only count 49 on the page. I’m not sure if that’s a bug on my end or not.
Many of the items are are shown on the page are already discounted and this promotion makes it an even better deal. If you’re looking for baseplates, this is a good time to buy. The multibuy discount will be automatically applied during checkout.
Thanks to Tyler for the heads up.
LEGO Lab is testing a new service over in Denmark that lets you design your own LEGO City set. Here you can choose from a selection of minifigures, vehicles, buildings, and animals to put in the set. When you’re done with the selections, you can checkout normally on the LEGO Shop and LEGO will ship it out to you. The price is fixed at 649 kr. It looks like you’ll get a customized box with what you’ve chosen as well as your name on the bottom right corner.
I’m not sure if or when LEGO will roll it out to other countries but it seems like a cool idea to make your own set albeit with limited options. Hopefully they’ll get enough feedback to allow more options in the future.
To use LEGO Lab, you have to be in Denmark or VPN to it. The images below are from Brickset since I don’t use any VPNs.
A few days ago, we talked about the November 2020 LEGO Store Calendar and the main promotion for the month shown is the LEGO Star Wars Han Solo Carbonite Metal Keychain (5006363) which we now have better images of. Official images of the keychain are now on the LEGO Shop and you will be able to get it for free with LEGO Star Wars purchases of $100 or more, while supplies last. Another image of the back of it was found here.
The keychain does come in its own collectible box. The front of it shows the Han in Carbonite as we’ve seen before and the back of it has an engraved LEGO VIP symbol on the back. The promo for the keychain will run from November 1-8.
Cartoon Network has released a new promo for their Halloween Haunted Hangout on October 31. Included in the lineup is a special LEGO Hidden Side Halloween episode called Night of the Harbinger. The episode will be 44 minutes long and it will be airing at 6:30. I’m not sure if that’s in the morning or at night.
Jack and Parker work to seal a Hidden Side hole when a fire ghost escapes covered in a strange silvery substance and reveals that their world may be doomed.
