Changes Coming to LEGO Powered Up

The LEGO Powered Up team has released a statement regarding the Powered Up app and what we can expect to see in the future. They have been taking feedback from the LEGO community and have been making changes to the features that will affect both kids and adults who use it.

Dear AFOLs and Powered Up users,

First of all, we want to thank you for being AFOLs and users of Powered Up. Your feedback is always highly valued and vital to our future roadmap and vision of LEGO® Powered Up.

The LEGO® Powered Up app has a wide spectrum of users. From kids using the app as a remote control for their LEGO trains, bat mobile, or their own creations, to really technical users building
amazingly advanced LEGO models, and everyone in between.

We aim to please the entire spectrum of users, without forcing anyone into a one-size-fits-all. We aim to lower the floor so that kids can easily get started with the app. We aim to widen the walls and offer different ways of coding and controlling LEGO models. New Member Added to LEGO Certified Professional Program – April 2020

Last week, LEGO announced on the LEGO Ambassador Network that have added a new LEGO Certified Professional to the LCP Program. Korean builder Jae Won Lee has been moved from the Entry Program to the main LCP Program.

If you’re not familiar with what a LEGO Certified Professional is, they are individuals who work with LEGO on their own projects and are recognized by LEGO as trusted business partners. If you watched this past season of LEGO Masters, you may have seen stuff built by Nathan Sawaya who is also a LCP here in the US. You can check out the list of LCPs here.

I’m thrilled to let you know that the Korean LEGO Certified Professional (LCP) Jay has moved from the LCP Entry Program into the LCP program. We are really happy about that as it has been a great pleasure working with Jay in the past two years. He is very excited to continue the LCP journey together with us.

Currently there are 21 LCPs in the program of which 3 LCPs are in the Entry Program and 18 LCPs are in the LCP program.
