LEGO Ideas 123 Sesame Street Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The 123 Sesame Street by bulldoozer21 is the latest project to hit 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. If you watched Sesame Street any time in your life, you would instantly recognize the iconic apartment building. The set features a few rooms from the show including Bert and Ernie’s apartment, Gordon and Susan’s dining room, Maria’s living room, and Elmo’s World. The project also proposes 14 minifigures such as Bob, Gordon, Susan, Bert, Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch, Biff, Sully, Ernie, Cookie Monster, Count von Count, Prairie Dawn, Grover and Elmo.

123 Sesame Street now joins National Museum – Rio de Janeiro, Anatomini, The Office – NBC, The Pirate Bay, Kakapo, SpaceX BFR / Starship & Super Heavy 1:110 Scale, and Addams Family Mansion as the projects to reach the First 2019 Review Stage.

Humble LEGO Games Bundle Now Live

Humble Bundle is running a new campaign for some older LEGO games if you play on PC. There is $169 worth of games that you can get for as low as $12. The games that are included with the bundle are:

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4
LEGO Batman: The Videogame
LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7
LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes
The LEGO Movie – Videogame
LEGO City Undercover
LEGO Worlds
LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham

As with all Humble Bundle campaigns, they support charity and you can choose where the money goes. This particular one is for the Entertainment Software Association Foundation. As a Humble Bundle partner, you can also choose as one of the choices. It is not required but it is definitely appreciated. As of this writing, the Humble LEGO Games Bundle will run for 13 more days.

LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar (75964) Coming in September

The press release of the summer 2019 LEGO Harry Potter sets was released yesterday and LEGO also announced the new LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar (75964). It will have 305 pieces and retail for $39.99 and will be available starting on September 1. It is a brand new advent calendar that is added to LEGO’s already big lineup of advent calendars for various themes including City, Friends, and Star Wars.

The images do not show all of the builds and minifigures like with the other LEGO advent calendars. This could be a new move to give more of a surprise for what we will be getting. The product description, however, does give more information about it and the main thing is that it includes 7 minifigures and a number of other builds that aren’t shown on the front of the box.

You may have noticed that I haven’t reviewed any advent calendars from the past few years but I’ll definitely take a look at this new LEGO Harry Potter one when it comes out.

Construct-a-Venture: Building Tales with Syd and Friends! Launched on Amazon

Some of you may have known that I went to Philly Brick Fest this past weekend and there I had the pleasure of meeting former LEGO employees Megan Rothrock and James Foulds. They were at the event to promote their new book Construct-a-Venture: Building Tales with Syd and Friends! which is a somewhat unique LEGO book that I haven’t seen that much of. It is a story book along with building instructions for some of the builds shown in the book. You can check out Megan talking about her new book from the Beyond the Brick livestream from Saturday.

LEGO fans have started to receive some flyers regarding the upcoming LEGO Star Wars May the 4th promotions for this year. For those who didn’t get it yet, LEGO has also posted them online and there’s quite a few things that will be going on.

LEGO Seasonal Dragon Boat Race (80103) Official Images

We’ve already known about the LEGO Seasonal Dragon Boat Race (80103) but LEGO has finally uploaded the official images of the set onto their servers in preparation of them being sold on LEGO Shop@Home. In the Asian-Pacific region, it’ll be available on May 1 but for the rest of the world, they won’t get it until 3-6 months after the launch so it’ll probably be late summer/early fall before it becomes available for everyone else.

As for the set, it has 471 pieces but it will include a whopping 15 minifigures. The price is still unknown at this time. The set is to commemorate the Dragon Boat Festival that will be held in early June.
