For those who are still looking for the someone elusive The LEGO Movie 2 Emmet’s ‘Piece’ Offering (30340) polybag, I’ve been told that Walmart is also carrying it. According to Brickseek, they are starting to roll out in stores at the LEGO aisle. The polybag can also be found at Target as I have previously mentioned. Thanks to David for the heads up.
Target will be holding an in-store event for The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. On Saturday, February 16 from 11am-2pm local time, there will be a building event along with other activities and prizes for The LEGO Movie 2. What the build will be is still a mystery at this time but I’m sure it’ll be pretty popular even if people don’t know about it and is there just to shop. Thanks to Ray for the heads up.
If you haven’t heard about it before, LEGO Masters is a hit TV show over in the UK that is basically a building competition show for AFOLs. It has been announced today that it will be coming here to the United States. UK-based independent production company Tuesday’s Child is teaming up with Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment to produce the US version of the show. There’s no details of when it will air but it’s exciting to see the show here. Which AFOLs could we expect to see?

BRINGING U.K. SMASH HIT “LEGO® MASTERS” TO U.S. WITH BRAD PITT’S PLAN B ENTERTAINMENTConversations Starting with U.S.-based Platforms
Los Angeles, Ca.—Endemol Shine North America and U.K.-based independent production company Tuesday’s Child are teaming with Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment to jointly produce a U.S. version of the hit British series “LEGO® MASTERS.”
The production companies are set to start conversations with potential American-based platforms later this month.
Originally created by Tuesday’s Child, “LEGO MASTERS” first launched on Channel 4 in the U.K. in 2017, quickly becoming the network’s highest-rated new series, nearly doubling its primetime average with young adults. Since then, “LEGO MASTERS” was renewed by Channel 4 and local versions of the successful format have begun launching around the world.
Along with Plan B Entertainment, Sharon Levy, DJ Nurre and Michael Heyerman will serve as executive producers for Endemol Shine North America, Karen Smith and Steph Harris will serve as executive producers for Tuesday’s Child and Jill Wilfert and
Two of the Asia exclusive LEGO sets are currently available on the other side of the world and on the secondary market but for the majority of us, we have to rely on other means to build them. Luckily, LEGO has provided the building instructions in PDF format for us to build the two sets. There are some exclusive parts so you’ll have to find substitues or omit them completely, mainly for the printed pieces. It’s a shame that LEGO decided not to release these sets worldwide but at least we’re able to build them to an extent. I’m in the process of getting a hold of the sets from a few sources to do reviews on them but it may take a while as they are very popular right now. I’ve heard from various sources that the LEGO City Popcorn Cart (30364) polybag can now be found at Walmart. It has 43 pieces and is priced at $3.97 like with all other polybags found at Walmart. What’s interesting about this set is the printed 1×1 brick for the popcorn box. This brick is currently only in one other set which is the Fire Station (60215).
Last week, the folks at Discover reached out to us letting us know about a partnership they are doing with LEGO. Today they released a couple of ads featuring The LEGO Movie 2’s Wyldstyle forgetting to pay her Discover card bill. She calls in with customer service agent Lucy telling her that Discover waives the late payment fee the first time a payment is missed. This ad is Discover’s first co-branded ad campaign with a major movie and it happens to be with The LEGO Movie 2. Check out the ads below.
Everything is not awesome as we revisit Bricksburg, where Duplo invaders from outer space are destroying everything. The spot opens on The Lego Movie 2’s heroine Wyldstyle running from the Duplo aliens, and realizing that with all of the destructive alien invaders, she’s forgotten to pay her Discover card bill. Discover’s helpful customer service agent, Lucy, informs Wyldstyle that it’s no problem, because Discover automatically waives the late payment fee the first time you miss your payment, no matter the reason. Wyldstyle is super pumped – well, she would be if she weren’t being attacked by aliens.
Amazon currently has some discounts on quite a bit of LEGO Star Wars sets including some of the 2019 ones. Some of the more notable ones include the new Battle Packs such is the Elite Praetorian Guard Battle Pack (75225) which has been selling fast, at least at my LEGO store. Another set that is on sale is the Escape Pod vs. Dewback Microfighters (75228) which is one of the best Microfighters sets that has been released.
