Will LEGO Prices Rise Due to Mexico Tariffs? – LEGO Sued by X

These pieces of LEGO news came out yesterday but it was a packed with LEGO reveals so I didn’t want to overshadow it. I rarely do any political content but it is LEGO related and relevant to the US.

Yesterday, President Donald Trump imposed tariffs for Canada, Mexico, and China. This involves a 25% duty on all imports from from our neighbors. As we know, LEGO manufactures a majority of the sets for the North America market at the Monterrey, Mexico factory.

We’ll have to see if LEGO raises their prices on the LEGO Shop and in stores in response to these tariffs. The LEGO Group does have a factory in Virginia that is set to open in the second half of 2025 but it won’t go into full production mode until 2027. Time will tell if LEGO moves up their scheduling to try to offset these tariffs.

In other news, Elon Musk’s X has sued LEGO along with other companies such as Nestle, Tyson Foods, Abbott Laboratories, Colgate-Palmolive, Pinterest, and Shell International for not advertising on the platform. They are accused of illegally boycotting and stopped buying ads on X which resulted reduced revenue.

LEGO’s X account has been pretty much silent since September 2024 but they respond to fans’ posts. I’ve been wondering why they haven’t posted and we now know why.

This buildable LEGO ǀ Marvel heavy-duty truck features a Hulk minifigure with a removable helmet and a Thanos minifigure with a Tesseract and Infinity Gauntlet. The Super Hero truck features a lift-off cab, providing access to the driver’s seat, with room for the Hulk minifigure. The outside is green with ‘Hulk Smash!’ and Hulk’s face decorations. With large turning wheels, a robust design and shock-absorbing suspension, the mega truck can handle the toughest of missions.
