At the beginning of June, LEGO officially announced their latest LEGO Technic Ultimate supercar with the Bugatti Chiron (42083) and I’ve finally got enough time to review it. It contains 3,599 pieces and retails for $349.99 and is the second 1:8 scale Ultimate Technic supercar with the first being the Porsche 911 GT3 RS (42056) from 2016.
Toys R Us Canada has revealed an exclusive LEGO City 2019 set with the Fire Plane (60217). It has 363 pieces but retails for $79.99 CAD due to the large pieces for the plane. No word yet on which retailer will have this set here in the US but it’ll most likely be on LEGO Shop@Home. Thanks to Ashnflash for the heads up.

Captain Marvel comes to theaters on March 8, 2019 but the folks in Canada can already find one of the sets on store shelves. According to multiple sources, Toys R Us Canada has already put the LEGO Marvel Captain Marvel and the Skrull Attack (76127) on the sales floor. The set consists of 307 pieces and it includes minifigures of Talos, Nick Fury, Goose, and Captain Marvel. The sets will most likely be available starting January here in the US. No word on the pricing yet but looking at the piece count, it could be $29.99 or $34.99.

LEGO Overwatch Sets Pre-Order on LEGO Shop@Home – You can now pre-order the upcoming LEGO Overwatch sets on Shop@Home. We will be reviewing each of the sets when we are able to get our hands on them.
Geoffrey’s Toy Box to be in Kroger Stores – It has been announced that Toys R Us will be rebranded to be named Geoffrey’s Toy Box and they will be in select Kroger supermarkets.
The LEGO Group Announces Infringement Case Win Against LEPIN – LEGO officially announced the results of their lawsuit against LEPIN in China in which they will receive about RMB 4.5 million in damages.
LEGO to Release China Region Exclusive Sets – LEGO will be launching the first elementary school STEAM classes in China and will also be releasing some Asia region exclusive sets to celebrate the Lunar New Year.
LEGO FORMA Officially Sold Out – LEGO’s first venture on Indiegogo was a very successful one as all of the perks have been claimed and everything has sold out before the project end date.

The December 2018 promotions are now live on LEGO Shop@Home. The main promotion is the LEGO Seasonal Christmas Carousel (40293) with purchases of $99 or more. I’ve already done a review of the set so you can check it out if you like.
For the Double VIP Point sets, they are the LEGO DUPLO Farm Adventures (10869) and the LEGO DUPLO Large Playground Brick Box (10864).
The LEGO Star Wars Darth Vader’s Castle (75251) is now available for purchase and you can get the free Darth Vader Pod (5005376) which is last year’s promo item but still cool if you haven’t gotten it yet.
In stores only from December 1-23, you can get a free Parrot Mailer with purchases of $10 or more. Images of what it is will come in an email blast some time in the next day or so.
Starting tomorrow, LEGO will be starting a new promotion at LEGO Stores and on Shop@Home for the new LEGO Seasonal Christmas Carousel (40293). It consists of 251 pieces and you can get it from December 1-10, with purchases of $99 or more, while supplies last. LEGO has kind enough to send over a copy for an early sneak peek at the set. The contents of the box include three unnumbered bags, a loose 8×8 green baseplate, and the instructions.
If you’re a LEGO VIP Black Card holder, the promotions that have been associated with the card has been, to say the least, absolutely lackluster but that may change very soon. I’ve been told from my source that card holders will be getting a very cool looking exclusive item. I don’t have an image of it yet but I’ve been told Black Card holders will get an email with a special code to get it. If you do get an email, feel free to email me ([email protected]) the image of the gift.
