Free The LEGO Movie 2 Posters at LEGO Stores

If you like posters, LEGO Brand Stores is giving away some free The LEGO Movie 2 character posters courtesy of Warner Bros. No purchase is needed and they are free if you ask an employee, while supplies last. I believe there are four or five but I only managed to grab three. The ones I got are Batman, Benny, and Emmet and I know there’s a Unikitty/Warrior Kitty one and possibly a Lucy/Wyldstyle one. The 24×36 posters are double-sided with one side featuring the characters from the first LEGO Movie and the other side showing their new look from the sequel. Again, there’s no catch to get them, just ask and you shall receive.

100th North America LEGO Store Minifigure

Today LEGO opened their 100th North America LEGO Brand Store at the Crossgates Mall in Albany, NY and to celebrate, all brand stores gave away an exclusive minifigure and poster. With purchases of $50 or more, you can get the 100th LEGO Store minifigure that is in the same San Diego Comic Con clamshell style with a backing card. The card itself is metallic and it shows the 100 LEGO Stores in North America.

For the minifigure, it is the same as the LEGO Shop Employee Minifigure (5001622) polybag from 2015 but this new one has exclusive printing of 100 LEGO Stores in North America on the back.

As for the poster, it is 11×17 and it is similar to the backing card with the metallic sheen and it shows the employee minifigure on the bottom.

Overall, LEGO did not announce this promotion and it was a total surprise for a majority of people. The only reason that I got it was I saw people posting images of it online and I hurried over to my store to get one. Again, you have to make a purchase of $50 or more at a LEGO Brand Store, while supplies last.

Update: Apparently there was an email blast that was sent out but I didn’t get that email even though I’m signed up for them. This promotion will run starting today until Sunday.

The LEGO Movie 2 IMAX Poster Released

Yesterday, Warner Bros. released the IMAX poster for The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part which means that the movie will also be premiering in theaters with the higher quality format. The poster also gives us a look at Balthazar and Zen Bunny who we first saw in The Awesomest, Most Amazing, Most Epic Movie Guide in the Universe.

The LEGO Movie 2 will be in theaters on February 8 and if you didn’t know, LEGO Shop@Home is giving away a pair of tickets from Fandango when you spend $60 or more on The LEGO Movie 2 sets.

The LEGO Movie 2 Collectible Minifigures (71023) Character Images

A few days ago, we got our first look at The LEGO Movie 2 Collectible Minifigures (71023) and thanks to Promobricks, B&B Spielwaren, and Argos, we now have official images and names of the individual characters in the set. The minifigures will be available starting in February but they have already been found in Denmark. Which one(s) are you looking forward to the most?

You may have seen this set leaked online but LEGO has officially revealed the direct-to-consumer set for The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part with Welcome to Apocalypseburg! (70840). Coming in at 3,178 pieces and retailing for $299.99, it recreates the fallen Statue of Liberty and some of the shops that are now in Apocalypseburg. The build allows for a full 360-degrees of play with a lot of intricate details all around. Welcome to Apocalypseburg! will be available starting on January 16 at LEGO Brand Stores and on LEGO Shop@Home.

LEGO Overwatch Watchpoint: Gibraltar (75975) Review

In my last review of the initial wave of LEGO Overwatch sets, I have Watchpoint: Gibraltar (75975). Coming in at 730 pieces and priced at $89.99, it is the largest and most expensive set from the first wave. The contents of the box include six numbered bags, one bag for Winston, one bag of trestles, two instruction booklets, and a sticker sheet.

The LEGO Movie 2 Costumes Available at Target

It’s never too early to for Halloween or just dressing up for the premiere of The LEGO Movie 2 and Target already has some costumes available for kids. Distributed by Disguise, they have costumes available for a few of the main characters including Emmet, Lucy, and Batman. I’m actually pretty impressed with the Lucy costume as it does include everything you see in the image such has the multi-colored skirt, leggings, gloves, and headband with the multi-colored hair extension.
