LEGO Star Wars Han Solo Mudtrooper (40300) Review

LEGO Star Wars Han Solo Mudtrooper (40300)

The current promotion on LEGO Shop@Home is for the LEGO Star Wars Han Solo Mudtrooper (40300) minifigure polybag with purchases of $35 or more on Star Wars products until October 14. It is the fourth minifigure in a series of LEGO Star Wars minifigures that have their own display stands joining R3-M2 (40268), Scarif Stormtrooper (40176), and DJ (40298). This latest minifigure depicts Han Solo as a Mudtrooper from Solo: A Star Wars Story which I’ll admit, I haven’t watched it yet.

The LEGO Star Wars Kessel Mine Worker (40299) minifigure polybag promotion is now also live online on Barnes & Noble. You can get it for free with a purchase of $29.95 or more, while supplies last. This is currently the last minifigure LEGO has released so far that connects together with their respective display stands. This promotion is also available in-stores and from what I’ve read, you can also purchase it individually for $5.99 each. The promotional event runs until October 15.

You can now pre-order the LEGO Star Wars Darth Vader’s Castle (75251) either at Amazon or LEGO Shop@Home. The set was just announced yesterday and the set has 1,060 pieces and retails for $129.99.

Amazon has the set listed for a November 26 release while Shop@Home says it will ship by December 1. Unless you have some gift cards or credit left over on Amazon, there is no discounts or promotions but it does have free Prime shipping. Over on Shop@Home, you can get free shipping as well as the Han Solo Mudtrooper (40300) minifigure polybag.

More LEGO Jurassic World Sets Coming in 2019

Universal has announced their plans for Jurassic World for 2019 and it has been revealed that there will be more LEGO Jurassic World sets as well as an animated show coming soon. I’m curious to see what other sets could be produced for Jurassic World as the Fallen Kingdom sets have covered almost everything from the second film.

The animated LEGO Jurassic World short will probably air on Cartoon Network or LEGO could release it on home media which potentially could have an exclusive minifigure but I won’t hold my breath on that. The short will be airing by the end of the year.

Thanks to anonymous for the heads up!

Two Projects Pass LEGO Ideas First 2018 Review Stage

LEGO Ideas Flintstones

The results of the LEGO Ideas First 2018 Review are in and LEGO has announced that, not one, but two projects will become official sets next year. The first set is the Treehouse by Kevin Feeser which looks great in its own right. I’m curious to see how big it’ll actually be considering the project had 2,643 pieces.

LEGO Ideas Treehouse

The other project that passed is actually a surprise and it is The Flintstones by Andrew Clark. I’ve seen the project in person when I was at Philly Brick Fest and I will say that it looks great in person. I’m sure that LEGO will modify it just a little bit to make it work for them as the parts count including minifigures is 770 pieces. It’s interesting to see The Flintstones as a license because there were hints that LEGO may have already had the stage was in LEGO Dimensions a few years ago.

LEGO Star Wars Kessel Mine Worker (40299) Barnes & Noble

For the past year or so, LEGO has been releasing exclusive LEGO Star Wars minifigures that are some display stands. There’s currently a promotion going on over at LEGO Shop@Home for the Han Solo Mudtrooper (40300) with purchases of $35 or more. It looks like there’s another promotion also running at Barnes & Noble, of all places, for the Kessel Mine Worker (40299). You can get it for free with purchases of $29.95 or more, while supplies last. From the looks over on the image, it looks like the promotion runs until October 18. There’s also reports that you can purchase it individually for $1.27 each. Thanks to Brandon for the heads up!
