LEGO Harry Potter Diagon Alley (40289) Reported to be November Promotion

LEGO Harry Potter Diagon Alley (40289)

A few months ago, we got our first look at the LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter Diagon Alley (40289) promotional set and I’ve gotten reported details on how it will be available. My source has told me that it will be available starting on November 9 with purchases of $99 or more. It’s interesting that the promotion is not listed on the November 2018 LEGO Store Calendar. There’s no mention on when the promotion will end but I assume it’ll be before the Black Friday promotions start unless LEGO is being generous and lets it run until the end of the month.

As for the set itself, it consists of mini buildings of Gringotts Wizarding Bank, Ollivanders, Flourish & Blotts, Quality Quiddich Supplies and Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes and it also includes an exclusive Ollivander minifigure.

LEGO BrickHeadz Theme Rumored to be Ending

LEGO BrickHeadz

The last thing that we’ve heard about the LEGO BrickHeadz was that there will be a Simpsons two-pack featuring Homer and Krusty the Clown (41632). There are some rumblings that the LEGO BrickHeadz theme will be ending at the end of 2018. This was also corroborated with long-time reader Purple Dave who stated in another post which says a LEGOLAND Discovery Center cashier said the line will be ending. They also stated that the LEGOLAND vendor booth at Brickworld Michigan had all of the LEGO BrickHeadz sets on clearance including some of the ones that were just released a few days ago. All those signs point to the LEGO BrickHeadz theme could actually be ending but until we hear something official, we’ll just consider it as a rumor.

LEGO Star Wars Han Solo Mudtrooper (40300) Review

LEGO Star Wars Han Solo Mudtrooper (40300)

The current promotion on LEGO Shop@Home is for the LEGO Star Wars Han Solo Mudtrooper (40300) minifigure polybag with purchases of $35 or more on Star Wars products until October 14. It is the fourth minifigure in a series of LEGO Star Wars minifigures that have their own display stands joining R3-M2 (40268), Scarif Stormtrooper (40176), and DJ (40298). This latest minifigure depicts Han Solo as a Mudtrooper from Solo: A Star Wars Story which I’ll admit, I haven’t watched it yet.

Barnes & Noble LEGO Star Wars Kessel Mine Worker (40299)

The LEGO Star Wars Kessel Mine Worker (40299) minifigure polybag promotion is now also live online on Barnes & Noble. You can get it for free with a purchase of $29.95 or more, while supplies last. This is currently the last minifigure LEGO has released so far that connects together with their respective display stands. This promotion is also available in-stores and from what I’ve read, you can also purchase it individually for $5.99 each. The promotional event runs until October 15.

More LEGO Jurassic World Sets Coming in 2019

Universal has announced their plans for Jurassic World for 2019 and it has been revealed that there will be more LEGO Jurassic World sets as well as an animated show coming soon. I’m curious to see what other sets could be produced for Jurassic World as the Fallen Kingdom sets have covered almost everything from the second film.

The animated LEGO Jurassic World short will probably air on Cartoon Network or LEGO could release it on home media which potentially could have an exclusive minifigure but I won’t hold my breath on that. The short will be airing by the end of the year.

Thanks to anonymous for the heads up!

Two Projects Pass LEGO Ideas First 2018 Review Stage

LEGO Ideas Flintstones

The results of the LEGO Ideas First 2018 Review are in and LEGO has announced that, not one, but two projects will become official sets next year. The first set is the Treehouse by Kevin Feeser which looks great in its own right. I’m curious to see how big it’ll actually be considering the project had 2,643 pieces.

LEGO Ideas Treehouse

The other project that passed is actually a surprise and it is The Flintstones by Andrew Clark. I’ve seen the project in person when I was at Philly Brick Fest and I will say that it looks great in person. I’m sure that LEGO will modify it just a little bit to make it work for them as the parts count including minifigures is 770 pieces. It’s interesting to see The Flintstones as a license because there were hints that LEGO may have already had the stage was in LEGO Dimensions a few years ago.
