The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part SDCC 2018 Panel Details

The Warner Bros. SDCC 2018 panel was yesterday and there were some new details for The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. It was announced that the Jurassic World Velociraptors will be making an appearance in the movie. In addition, Chris Pratt stated in the panel yesterday that he will also be voicing another character in TLM2, which will be based on his Jurassic World character Owen Grady, named Rex Dangervest.

There was another new character that was briefly shown off during the panel named Queen Watevra Wa-Nabi who is voiced by Tiffany Haddish who is somewhat like a giant three-eyed, tentacled creature. Finally, I’ve already talked about Jason Momoa voicing Aquaman which you can check out here. There’s no footage of the short panel so hopefully we’ll get to see it in the next few weeks after SDCC is finished.

LEGO Ninjago Season 9 to Air on August 11

Just ahead of the LEGO Ninjago panel at San Diego Comic Con tomorrow, co-creator Tommy Andreasen has confirmed that LEGO Ninjago “Hunted” will be airing on August 11 over on Cartoon Network. Hardcore fans of the show have been wondering when Season 9 will begin and we now have the answer. I expect to hear more details about the next season in the panel tomorrow and for those who have been asking if I will be attending it, I will be live tweeting the panel with details I can divulge. Of course, there will be no clips or images of any videos they show.

Jason Momoa to Voice Aquaman in The LEGO Movie 2

Today was the Warner Bros. Hall H panel at San Diego Comic Con 2018 and there were some epic trailers that were shown off including a new clip that was shown for The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. The clip confirms that Jason Momoa has been revealed to be voicing Aquaman in the upcoming animated film.

Fans in attendance got to see a short part of the film in which Aquaman is in his traditional outfit appearing alongside Batman, voiced by Will Arnett. Batman sort of brushes off Aquaman and subsequently, Aquaman uses Batman as a surfboard and even uses the voiceline, “My Man” just like in Justice League.

Speaking of Aquaman, there is a life-sized statue of Aquaman made from 30,450 bricks and took 190 hours to design and build.

If you’re wanting to get the exclusive San Diego Comic Con 2018 LEGO set but aren’t at the convention, the next best thing is to build your own and thanks to Promobricks, you can now do that as they have somehow able to acquire the building instructions for the sets. The only thing that you won’t have are the exclusive vertical-style boxes and you’ll have to find a way to get the minifigures.

Exclusive LEGO Marvel & DC Super Heroes SDCC 2018 Posters

If you were at San Diego Comic Con 2018 late this afternoon, LEGO was handing out some surprise exclusive LEGO super hero posters. You were given a choice of either the LEGO Marvel Studios: The First Ten Years which is a recreation of the famous poster or a LEGO DC Super Heroes Superman 80th Anniversary poster which shows Superman in a minifigure form recreating some famous scenes from Superman’s history.

I kindly asked the people manning the table if I could get both posters and they allowed it but most people walked away with either or. I’m not sure if the LEGO booth will have more of these two posters the rest of the con or if there will be other posters to collect as well but I’ll be checking in periodically. Which one of these posters do you like the best?

The San Diego Comic Con 2018 trailer for LEGO DC Super-VIllains has been released and we get to see a slew of new villains that we’ll be able to play as. This trailer is ahead of the LEGO DC Super-Villains: Meet the Talend Behind the Video Game Panel that will be held tomorrow at SDCC which we’ll most likely see even more character reveals and other details so stay tuned for that. LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Aquaman Black Manta Strike Found at SDCC 2018

It looks like there is an unannounced LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes set that is available for purchase at San Diego Comic Con 2018 and that is the Aquaman Black Manta Strike from the upcoming Aquaman movie. Looking at it closely, the build is mostly the robotic Black Manta along with the Aquaman, Mera, and Black Manta minifigures. I’ll have to swing by the LEGO booth tomorrow and pick it up. I’m guessing this set will be available starting in August.
