LEGO Ideas Steamboat Willie (21317)

All aboard Steamboat Willie to celebrate Mickey Mouse’s birthday!

Disney Mickey Mouse fans will love this LEGO® Ideas 21317 Steamboat Willie building toy marking the 90th anniversary of the most famous cartoon character ever. Mickey Mouse made his screen debut in a 1928 black-and-white animated short film called ‘Steamboat Willie’, which was also the first Disney film to have synchronized sound. This LEGO brick version of the S.S. Willie features steam pipes that move up and down and paddle wheels that rotate when the boat is pushed along. The boat’s bridge has room for a minifigure and play-inspiring nautical details such as the ship’s wheel, life buoy and buildable bell. On deck there is a working crane to lift the ‘potato bin’ cargo aboard and this unique toy building set comes with new-for-April-2019 Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse minifigures, each with special silver-colored decoration, plus a parrot figure. An ideal LEGO set for kids

LEGO Ideas Steamboat Willie (21317) Review

LEGO Ideas Steamboat Willie (21317)

The latest LEGO Ideas set to be announced this morning was the Steamboat Willie (21317) which was to celebrate Mickey Mouse’s birthday. The set has 751 pieces and retails for $89.99 and we’re lucky enough to get a review copy to check out for you guys. I will first say that I didn’t know what to expect since the original project was very small and not a good representation of Steamboat Willie.

Rumored LEGO Stranger Things Set in 2019?

Here’s a new LEGO rumor that a reader has pointed me to from Brick Fanatics that may pique your interest as they are reporting that we may see a LEGO Stranger Things set coming later this year. With Season 3 of the show coming this summer on Netflix, it’s not out of the question that a releasing a set would be a smart thing to do. Brick Fanatics is reporting that the set could include a human world location and part of the Upside Down. If this is a legit set, we’ll probably see some of the kids including Eleven, Dustin, Mike, Lucas, and Will.

On a similar note, a saw rumor fly by a few weeks ago but I sort of dismissed it but now Brick Fanatics also comes in with this piece of news. They’re a pretty reliable source of some of the more recent sets so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. Don’t set your expectations too high if we don’t get a LEGO Stranger Things set. As will all rumors, they are just that until LEGO themselves start teasing them or officially announces it.

Spider-Man’s Spider Crawler (76114) – $32.00/20% off

New Avengers: Endgame Trailer Released

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Avengers: Endgame Avengers Ultimate Quinjet (76126)

Marvel dropped a bombshell this morning by releasing a brand new trailer for Avengers: Endgame. It doesn’t show much in terms of the final battle with Thanos but it does show a lot of other details including the Avengers in their new Quantum Realm suits. Back in October, leaked toy images of the characters in the suits came out and Endgame co-director Joe Russo said these leaks are not accurate, however, these suits are also in the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Avengers: Endgame sets which were revealed last week so actually seeing them in the trailer is very cool. After watching the trailer multiple times since this morning, I’m definitely more hyped about Endgame than I already was.

LEGO Creator Cute Pug (30542) Shop@Home Promotion

LEGO Creator Cute Pug (30542)

If you get the LEGO VIP emails, you probably saw that LEGO has started a new gift-with-purchase promotion over on Shop@Home. For purchases of $35 or more online only, you can get the LEGO Creator Cute Pug (30542) polybag for free. This is the same polybag that you can find over at Target but if you weren’t able to find it, here’s another chance to get it if you’re already buying more LEGO.

In addition, for in-store purchases only, you can get a Build-a-Minifigure pack for only $5 when you spend 40 or more. The BAM is usually $9.99 so this is a good discount for three additional minifigures or if you’re searching for minifigure parts.
