LEGO Star Wars Summer 2018 Set Details

LEGO Star Wars Sandcrawler (75059)

Late last year, I reported on some rumors for the summer 2018 wave of LEGO Star Wars sets and it looks like they have been confirmed by Promobricks. Although photography was not allowed there, they’ve managed to take somewhat detailed notes of some of the sets that we should be expecting later this year.

60 Years of the LEGO Brick (40290) Sold Out on Shop@Home

If you’ve been holding out on getting the 60 Years of the LEGO Brick (40290), your luck has probably ran out. After about four days, the set is now sold out on Shop@Home at least here in the US. The promotion has now been replaced with last month’s LEGO City Dragster with a purchase of $35 or more. As predicted before the promo started, I figured this set would be very popular with the fans as it has a nostalgic vibe to it.

There may still be some LEGO Brand Stores that may still have them available so your best chance is to call them up directly and see if they do indeed have them. Other than that, your best bet to get it is on the secondary market which isn’t cheap by any means or if you have some very good friends.

The offer is basically double VIP points on all LEGO Star Wars purchases through the whole month of February. It’s nothing too spectacular since we already get a couple of Double Point events throughout the year but cardholders do get an extra month to rack up them points.

If you want to score a great deal over at Walmart in the next few days, this may be of interest to you. On Saturday, February 3, Wednesday, Feb. 7, and Sunday, February 11 you can get the LEGO 60th Anniversary Bundle for just $5.65. The bundle includes the LEGO Creative Building Set (10702) and the Sand Baseplate (10699).

I’m not sure if this offer is only valid online or if stores will have it as well but if you can get it, you’ll be getting a heck of a deal as the Creative Building Set retails for $29.99 and the baseplate goes for $7.99. One other thing to note is that both items are soon to be retired so if they offer it in stores, you might not be able to find them.

Today is the official release of the LEGO Ideas Ship in a Bottle (21313) and we are proud to bring you a review of this set. It contains 962 pieces and retails for $69.99. As I mentioned in my unboxing of the set, there are seven bags that are number 1-4, four loose trans-clear window pieces, and the instruction booklet. The set is separated into three different builds, the ship, bottle, and stand and we’ll take a look in-depth look at those individually.
