LEGO Announces LEGO Insiders – New Program Replacing VIP Program

LEGO has announced a new program launching on August 21 called LEGO Insiders replaces the existing LEGO VIP Program and rewards you for playing. You can consolidate your LEGO accounts into one single account and everything will transfer over to LEGO Insiders, including VIP points. Your existing points are not going away. They will be rolled over to the new program.

Fans can earn points by participating in activities, purchasing sets on LEGO.com, in participating LEGO Stores, and in Target in the USA. Members can now also earn points by registering previously purchased sets via the unique QR code on the building instructions and cataloguing them on their account.

Points can be spent in the LEGO Insiders Reward Center for discounts on sets, member-only merchandise, sweepstakes entries (in select countries) for cool collectibles, and more.

Some of the perks include early access to sets, exclusive content, digital family fun, play ideas and activities as well as member only gifts when purchasing certain sets.

All in all, it’s pretty much the same as the LEGO VIP Program but with easier ways to earn points.

Possible Way of Figuring Out LEGO Marvel Studios Collectible Minifigures Series 2 (71039) Characters

The new LEGO Marvel Studios Collectible Minifigures Series 2 (71039) officially comes out in a few weeks and the most glaring issue with them is that they are packaged in boxes. This means that you won’t be able to feel out the characters like we’ve been doing so for years. In addition, the layouts of full boxes look to be all random so listing them on how they are set won’t help that much.

Luckily, LEGO has provided some clues on the boxes themselves. Underneath the box is your standard UPC code and next to it is a stamp with some random numbers. This is the secret to finding the ones you want.

Each character has their unique five digit stamp along with the serial number run below it. Even though some of the characters have the same top number, the bottom numbers are substantially far from the other one.

I’ve verified this with the box that LEGO sent over for review and the individual characters have their own run of numbers. Unless LEGO made a limited number of the set, the numbers could change later on so I can’t guarantee that they will have the same serial number run with future productions.

LEGO San Diego Comic Con 2023 Recap

LEGO SDCC 2023

Just like that, San Diego Comic Con 2023 is now over but here’s a recap of the LEGO happenings during the four days. First off is the LEGO booth itself which they have named it LEGO Brickbuster Video. This is a play on the old Blockbuster Video stores. Throughout the store, there were displays of upcoming LEGO sets from various themes. On the shelves were VHS cassette cases featuring movies and themes in LEGO form.

The back wall named New Releases was filled with creations from fans. Some of the themes for the builds were unplanned and spontaneous such as the Spongebob ones and Pikachu ones. I was told that fans took inspiration from the builds that were already on the shelves and they made their own version.

There were also brick-build statues that fans could take pictures with. The builds were made to look like the old 2D cardboard cutouts that you could find at Blockbuster stores. Fans could take pictures with them and share to social media to get corresponding pins of them. The ones for this year were Captain America, Sonic the Hedgehog, and a speeder bike from Star Wars.

LEGO SDCC 2023

There was a Coming Attractions billboard showing some of the current and upcoming LEGO shows and specials. Some of the new shows coming soon include LEGO Masters: Holiday Bricktacular, LEGO Marvel Avengers: Code Red, LEGO Star Wars: Mandoween – Celebrate the Season, LEGO Masters: Season 4, LEGO Disney Princess: The Castle Quest, and one confidential show that they never revealed. Any guesses on … Continue
