The Japanese Old Style Architecture by Taxon55 has achieved 10,000 supporters on LEGO CUUSOO. The project was one of the first sets that were posted on CUUSOO way back in 2011 and it now reaches the Winter 2013 Review Stage. The project uses various building techniques to recreate structures that personify the essense of Japan such as the shrines and hot springs.

The Japanese Old Style Architecture joins the Legend of Zelda: Iron Knuckle Encounter as the second project to reach the Winter 2013 Review Stage. Congratulations to Taxon55 for this achievement!

Congratulations on this achievement, to both taxon55 and to all supporters of this excellent LEGO® CUUSOO project.

As we’ve said before, this is a very well designed project that captures the essence of these traditional Japanese buildings. The models really make you feel like you’re there! We look forward to considering your project in the LEGO Review.

What happens now?
This project moves from the Idea stage to the Review stage. A “LEGO Review Board” composed of designers, product managers, and other key team members will examine the idea. We’ll build concept models and determine if the concept meets our high standards for what it takes to be a LEGO product, including playability, safety, and fit with the LEGO brand. Every LEGO product goes through a process like this and must meet the same standards.
