LEGO Ideas SpaceX BFR / Starship & Super Heavy 1:110 Scale Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The SpaceX BFR / Starship & Super Heavy 1:110 Scale project by Albinolan is the latest one to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The project has 2,020 pieces and is a collaborative project among many people who had submitted previous SpaceX projects on LEGO Ideas. This is a two-stage vehicle that comprises of the Starship and Super Heavy Rocket booster and is designed to be fully reusable.

The SpaceX BFR / Starship & Super Heavy 1:110 Scale now joins National Museum – Rio de Janeiro, Anatomini, The Office – NBC, The Pirate Bay, and Kakapo as the projects to reach the First 2019 Review Stage.

LEGO Ideas Space Rocket Ride (40335) Promotional Set Found in Croatia

Last year, LEGO Ideas did a contest called Moments in Space and the winning model would be turned into a gift-with-purchase set. The winner was the Cosmic Rocket Ride and it looks like the set is now available at a Croatia LEGO Certified Store. PromoBricks has posted an image of the LEGO Ideas Space Rocket Ride (40335), shown above, and it looks faithful to the original submission with some minor additions and changes. There’s no word on when this promotion will go live but it’ll be soon from the looks of it.

LEGO Ideas Steamboat Willie (21317) Designer Video

LEGO Ideas Star Wars: The Greatest Battles Built by You! Building Contest

LEGO has kicked off a new building contest to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the LEGO Star Wars theme. All you have to do is to build your favorite battle scene from the whole Star Wars saga. The Grand Prize winner will get a slew of some awesome including:

LEGO Ideas The Flintstones (21316) Designer Video

If you haven’t made up your mind on the LEGO Ideas The Flintstones (21316) set, LEGO has recently released the designer video for the set. LEGO designer Ricardo Silva talks about some of the details that went into the set. They also touched on how to implement the Hanna-Barbera design style into the LEGO style. The Flintstones is currently available on Shop@Home for $59.99 which you can get Double VIP points on it until the end of the month.

LEGO Ideas Steamboat Willie (21317) Box Error Statement

If you saw the announcement for the LEGO Ideas Steamboat Willie (21317) set, you may have saw that it was labeled at set #24 in the Ideas line. More keen-eyed readers may have noticed that it is the same number as the recently released The Flintstones (21316) set as it is also #24. This is an error on LEGO’s part and they have released a statement about it.

Due to our excitement to get the Steamboat Willie set into the hands of LEGO fans around the world as quick as possible, an error was made on the packaging relating to the sequential set number. It was mistakenly printed as #24 and it should have been #25. This will be corrected in future sets.

The first run of sets will have the error on the boxes so if you’re particular about that kind of thing, then you’ll be glad to know they will be fixing it in later releases. For those who are getting it when it comes out in April, you will be getting the error boxes and may be a bit more valuable later on when the set retires since there are people who do buy error stuff from LEGO.

LEGO Ideas Steamboat Willie (21317) Signing Events in April

The LEGO Ideas Steamboat Willie (21317) was announced earlier this morning and like with some of the more recent Ideas set releases, there will also be a signing event attached to it. According to Hasan from the LEGO Ideas team, there will be two signing events in April for Steamboat Willie with fan designer Máté Szabó and they will be held at Disney Springs and Disneyland Paris. If you’re in the area at those dates, feel free to stop by and say hello.
