LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles Exclusive Minifigure Revealed

USA Today has revealed the exclusive minifigure that will be included in the new LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles book by Daniel Lipkowitz. The minifigure included in the book will be a Special Forces Commander Clone Trooper. The book will retail for $18.99 and will be available this summer. For a limited time, Amazon is having a 43% discount on the book and you can pre-order it now for the price of $10.90. The Yoda Chronicles will be premiering on Cartoon Network on May 29th and there are also some short videos that have already started on starwars.lego.com.

LEGO Star Wars Planets Series 3 TIE Bomber & Asteroid Field (75008) Review

For the final LEGO Star Wars Series 3 Planet set, YourCreativeFriends has reviewed the TIE Bomber & Asteroid Field (75008). This small build contains 60 pieces and retails for $9.99. The minifigure that is included in the set is the TIE Pilot. I’m not sure why an asteroid field would be called a “planet” unless it was a destroyed Alderaan. Since Alderaan will be in a Series 4 set, maybe this set could be the remnants of the planet. Anyways, take a look at YCF’s video below for more details of the set.

The newly announced LEGO Star Wars UCS Red Five X-wing Starfighter (10240) is now listed on LEGO Shop@Home. It is priced at $199.99 and is expected to be released on Star Wars Day, May 4th (May the 4th be with you). Last year, LEGO had some deals going on for two days including a free exclusive TC-14 minifigure, free poster, and free shipping. Our buddies over at YourCreativeFriends has recently picked up a couple of the new LEGO Star Wars Series 3 Planet sets. Here they are reviewing the Jedi Starfighter & Kamino (75006). The set has 61 pieces and it retails for $9.99 at the LEGO store where they’ve found these sets. LEGO Star Wars UCS Red Five X-wing Starfighter (10240) Revealed

At LEGO World in Copenhagen, LEGO has officially announced the next LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collectors Set, the Red Five X-wing Starfighter (10240). A few days ago, Kevin Hinkle did mention that a new exclusive set will be revealed outside the US and today, we now know what that set will be. The X-wing will contain 1558 pieces and will retail for $199.99. It will be released in May 2013. This is the second incarnation of the X-wing with the first one being released back in 2000 (7191). Like the previous model, this X-wing will also include a R2-D2 minifigure which we probably have about 3 or 4 of already.

With the release of this X-wing, I feel that the phrase “Ultimate Collectors” is diminished because in my opinion, sets shouldn’t be remakes of previous models but something new that haven’t been released before. On the other side of the coin, it’s nice for newer collectors who didn’t get a chance to get it the first time around. With that said, I’ll probably be picking it up since I got back from my “Dark Ages” a little late.

LEGO Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out DVD Amazon Pre-order

The LEGO Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out DVD is now available for pre-order on Amazon for $7.48 which is 50% off the list price. As a bonus for purchasing the animated film, you also get the Darth Vader wearing a medal minifigure. The 22-minute DVD is set to be released on March 26.
