Super Awesome Micro Project: Air-Powered LEGO Car

There are some things that are made from LEGO that are just unbelievable until you see it. Steve Sammartino and Raul Oaida created the Super Awesome Micro Project which is a life-sized LEGO car that is powered by air and has a top speed of about 18mph. It is styled as a hot rod and used more than 500,000 LEGO pieces to create which includes four orbital engines and 256 pistons. The project was crowdfunded with a single tweet and forty people jumped on board to help out. Check out the awesome video above.

They have also interviewed Executive Producer Lawrence Poe and asked how this game will be different from other LEGO games including the failed LEGO Universe. One such difference is that LEGO Minifigures Online is a free to play game and not a subscription based game.

Accessibility is key for this game, so we’re trying to make it as easy as possible to get into the game and have fun. Obviously there will be a lot of younger players for this game so we are taking our time to ensure that we will provide the best experience for those young players and their parents both in terms of gameplay and the business model.

Lawrence also talks about the main objectives of the game, to find minifigures and using them on your adventure. Not only will you be looking for minifigures, there will also be a building aspect to the game.
