LEGO Year of the Horse (40779) GWP Revealed

The first image of the upcoming LEGO Year of the Horse (40779) gift with purchase set is now on the LEGO Shop. The set has 132 pieces and it features a cartoony version of the horse from the Chinese Zodiac and it should start being available on December 23. It is the last of the Zodiac animals in this style with the first one being the Sheep (40148) from 2015. The Year of the Horse should be available at the beginning of 2026. Were you able to get all of them the last dozen years?

LEGO January 2026 Shopping Guide

January 2026 is only a few weeks away and the month is one of the biggest LEGO release months of the year. We have over 150 new LEGO 2026 sets that will all be dropping at the same time. As far as promotions go, we have one with the LEGO Icons Vintage Parade Car (40913) when you purchase the Shopping Street from January 1-7.

We also have the LEGO Year of the Horse (40779) which should be available starting on December 23. There’s no information on price requirement but I guess it’ll be about $70-$80.

Macy’s is ending the year on a high note as they have some one day only sales with sets discounted up to 40% off. The selection of sets that have been discounted aren’t too bad with 66 sets on the list ranging from 20% to 40% off. It looks like LEGO has one last promotion for 2025 as they have brought back the LEGO Fortnite BrickHeadz Brite Bomber (40728). From now until December 24, you can get it with purchases of $90 or more, while supplies last. The 151 piece set was originally available last October but it seems they still have stock left over to run the promotion again.
