LEGO Ideas Lothlorien Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The latest project to hit 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas is Rakrondewl’s Lothlorien. This project is based on the Lord of the Rings house of Celebor and Galadriel as seen in the movie. There are a couple of play features that are included such as a minifigure catapult, flick-fire missiles, and detachable sections. The characters that are suggested include Galadriel, Celebor, Frodo Baggins, Aragorn, Legolas, and Boromir.

Lothlorien now joins the Brick-Built Adventure Time Figures, the Caterham Super Seven, and the Modular Library as the projects to reach the Second 2015 Review Stage.

If history is any indication this will never get approved. To large a set, and part of an existing IP license. Guess we could be pleasantly surprised but I will not hold my breath…

Exactly my thoughts. I love LOTR, but the chances of this getting approved are very slim.

“pleasantly surprised”? More like “TOTALLY SHOCKED!!!!”.

Sadly this is like the Library- never gonna happen. Lego clearly doesn’t want anything of an existing ip, or a current theme, ie modular buildings.

Neat, but there are about ten other LotR sets I’d rather have before this ever got made.

I greatly lamented that The Golden Hall of Rohan was rejected. It is the opinion of many, that the LOTR line feels incomplete. It did have good potential still. The fact that projects like this one reach 10k supporters is telling; but precedent does tell us that they always get rejected.
