USA Today has given us our first look at some scenes from the new The LEGO Batman Movie that will be coming out on February 10, 2017. There we can some shots of Will Arnett’s cool looking Batcave with a variety of cowls and suits. We can also see the new Batwing which I assume will become an official set when the movie comes out.
Along with Will Arnett, there will be a star-studded voice casting with Ralph Fiennes as Alfred, Michael Cera as Dick Grayson/Robin, Rosario Dawson as Barbara Gordon/Batgirl, Zach Galifianakis as the Joker, and Mariah Carey as Gotham’s mayor. The first trailer for The LEGO Batman Movie will be released this Wednesday.

Be warned, no one satirizes Batman and escapes unscathed.
“Bat by Gaslight”, oh the Easter eggs spilleth forth.
I’m all about that 3D utility belt piece. I only need about 30 of them for all my various Batmans.
You say that now, but consider how wonky it would look with the printed belt peeking out over the top, as is likely to happen with pretty much every Batman torso. Also, why was everyone complaining about the bulky cowl ten years ago and now the equally bulky utility belt is desired? I actually prefer the painted belts because it gives them the opportunity to match the belt to the torso better, which has resulted in quite a variety of belts. We’d be lucky to be on our second or third belt now if they’d gone that route, not to mention the likelihood that some particularly desirable color would be crazy expensive. This sort of thing would be much better coming from a third party accessory source, who can just crank them out for sale in large numbers and a wide variety of colors. And maybe a few different styles right out of the gate.
I’ve already got an easily repeatable custom Gotham by Gaslight Batman. What I want is the Raging Bat minifig. Though I definitely appreciated the reference.
looks like older style helmet 😀 i love that!!
