There’s still one more day to potentially reveal a true panel for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 Video Game at San Diego Comic Con 2017 but in the meantime, there’s also a Meet the Talent panel scheduled as well. On Saturday July 22 from 1:45pm – 2:45pm in Room 6A, some of the team behind the game including Arthur Parsons, Bill Rosemann, Justin Ramsden, Kurt Busiek, and Dan Veesenmeyer will be on hand to talk about it and attendees will be able to see a new trailer, more character reveales, as well as exclusive audience giveaways.
The team behind the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 videogame-including Arthur Parsons (head of design, TT Games), Bill Rosemann (executive creative director, Marvel Games), Justin Ramsden (designer, LEGO), Kurt Busiek (comics writer, Avengers Forever), and Dan Veesenmeyer (comic content artist, LEGO Marvel’s Avengers)-offer an inside look at this all-new original adventure, the sequel to the smash hit LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. Moderated by Marvel’s Ryan Penagos (vice president and executive editor, Marvel Digital), this celebration of the Marvel Universe will provide fans with a first look at a new game trailer, new character and artwork reveals, and exclusive audience giveaways. Bringing together iconic Marvel Super Heroes and Super Villains from different eras and realities, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 pits players against the time-traveling Kang the Conqueror in an epic cosmic battle across the expansive Open Hub World of Chronopolis. The game will be released on November 14.

Not sure why it matters to me (I can never afford to fly all the way out to San Diego to wade through hordes of attendees who are allergic to soap and water), but how is this different from a “true panel”?
Also, I still can’t find any evidence that they announced any SDCC exclusive minifigs. Shouldn’t those be all over the internet by now? Maybe they’ve finally admitted that the minifig giveaways really have been rigged twelve ways from Sunday, that the people running them have handed them out to favored individuals, and that the whole thing has been a giant PR mess. Maybe they’ve decided to just skip the minifigs altogether. Maybe. Maybe not. We still have a few weeks left for them to make announcements.
Sometimes there are separate panels for the similar content which uses different sized rooms but it looks like this is the only panel for the game.
There hasn’t been any info on the exclusive minifigs but there’s still plenty of time for them to be revealed. The rigging deal is an old issue now since they’ve changed over to the iPad way.
I know things are anywhere near as bad as that one year that FBTB did a 3-part article on just how dirty the process was a few years back, with apron-vs-hand tickets, and unannounced Azog minifigs just randomly being handed out to kids on the convention floor. However, it may have been a different year that someone was photographed showing off a whole bag stuffed full of The Collector a day before they were scheduled to give them out. Even with the iPad system, the process is still suspect. What happens if the day is drawing to a close and they still have a pile left? Does the iPad app start aggressively seeding them out to any attendees who walk up just to get rid of every last one? Do they get to just hand them out at will? If it’s the latter, that’s for sure when a few of them will be slipped under the table for friends and such. No, until they can capture a digital record that guarantees each minifig was given away via app, and that there are never any leftovers, there’s still going to be room to abuse the system without drawing too much suspicion. I mean consider just how bad it got before they even started addressing the problem (even if they never admitted there was one). If they get it 99% honest, do you think that last 1% is going to stand out anymore?
There’s no “end” time for the giveaways. They let people try their luck until the daily allotment is completed. This means that people can get back in line whether or not they already got one or not although the lines are extremely long and there’s a very slim chance that they can get another turn.
Great for them
