The LEGO Ideas Moon Car (40789) is currently one of the items available in the LEGO Insiders Rewards Center. It has 211 pieces and requires 2,500 Insiders points to redeem. The set was one of the winning builds in the Exploring the Cosmos building contest last year and was designed by Teddy Young (EnchantingNoodle).
There are two minifigures in the set who wear some green and yellow spacesuits. The suits do have printing of the Classic Space logo on it.
The body of the Moon Car has a futuristic design that has a mostly light blue color scheme. The grills on the front makes use of some windows which works fairly well. The front area of the car uses some 1×1 round bricks to make it look like there are some vents.
The back of the Moon Car have some white fins and some flames coming out of the thrusters.
The other part of the build is the display stand. It has a number of craters on it and right in the middle is a little clamp to slot the car in. In the corner is a lamppost with a directional arrow.
The LEGO Ideas Moon Car (40789) is a nice looking set but it is fairly expensive to get at 2,500 Insiders points. It just depends on if you want to add a fairly exclusive set to your collection or save your points for something more desirable like discounts or any other future set that may come to the Rewards Center.
