Season 2 of the One Piece live action show has been out for a while now but LEGO has recently released a new wave of LEGO One piece sets that reflect various scenes from the show. The first one we’ll be checking out is Dr. Hiriluk’s Hideout (75641). The set has 271 pieces and retails for $29.99.
Minifigures
There are three minifigures in the set, Tony Tony Chopper, Dr. Hiriluk, and Dr. Kureha. Tony Tony Chopper isn’t a full minifigure but instead he uses a smaller body that has the body and legs molded on the same piece. The body has have some fur detailing and the legs are dual molded for his pants and claws in the front. His hat also has his antlers molded on as well. For the Baroque Works poster, I got Miss Wednesday in this set.
Dr. Hiriluk is Tony Tony Chopper’s adoptive father and he’s seen wearing a dark green shirt with a black overcoat. The legs have some pink for his pants but is covered up by the long black coat. He has a double-sided head showing a grin on one side and a scared expression on the other. His hat is specially molded for his wacky hairstyle. His accessory is his black briefcase with the pirate flag on it.
Lastly, we have Dr. Kureha who is Tony Tony Chopper’s adoptive mother. The minifigure is shown wearing a yellow blouse with red dots all around and purple pants. Her double-sided head shows a smile on one side and an angry expression on the other.
Build
The hideout is inside the snowy mountainside. From the outside, there’s a wooden door that goes in. Around the mountain, there are branches and vines as well as a large tree on top.
On the inside, there’a a fireplace along with a shelf of books. On the table, there’s a stickered tile of the Amiudake mushroom. In the middle of the room, there’s a nicely decorated rug with a chair. Next to the fireplace is the Hiriluk’s pirate flag with cherry blossom leaves that Chopper is fond of.
The left side hinge has a table full of jars and flasks where Hiriluk and Chopper do their experiments.
The other hinged side has a green and flame-orange bed. There is also a stickered tile of some of the plants from Hiriluk’s book.
Results
Overall the LEGO One Piece Dr. Hiriluk’s Hideout (75641) is a good set that has lots of references from the Netflix show. The minifigures are pretty much spot on especially for Hiriluk. Again, I would prefer to have a fully covered hideout instead but LEGO prefers this kind of design now.
