Brickpicker Fundraiser Raffle

The holidays are for giving and being thankful for what we have. For some, they might not be as fortunate as others and this is where the story begins. The guys over at Brickpicker has emailed me about a fundraiser raffle they are doing to help keep Ed’s son school open which you can read in the link above. Long story short, the school is struggling to stay open and the guys are holding a raffle for a chance to win some retired LEGO sets, which comes from their own collection, and the proceeds will go directly to St. Paul School including:

Sealed Case of 64 Series 10 Collectible Minifigures (71001)
Creator Town Hall (10224)
Monster Fighters Haunted House (10228)
Star Wars Death Star (10188)
Star Wars UCS R2-D2 (10225)

The raffle tickets are $10.00 each for a particular item and for $50.00, you can get an entry for all the sets. The school needs $200,000 by the end of January and hopefully I’m able to spread the word about it on my little corner of the internet. Even though not every LEGO collector is a reseller, Brickpicker has been a great asset to the community with their price guides and I wish them the best on this campaign.

How do you know that the draw will be fair? I am interested in buying a raffle ticket but how would it work – would the ship it to the winner? You would hope that it is also drawn honestly, they know the people they are selling to in person compared to someone like me they don’t know on the Internet.

Briana, this is Jeff from Brickpicker.com. I understand your question but I can assure you it is on the up and up. We used a service that is 100% legit. We are not even the ones that will be picking the winners. Everything will be handled through the service. We do not ever see the money, we are not selling to anyone in person, it is all being done over the internet so it is without question and even playing field for all involved. You can always contact Rallyup.com to ask them any questions or to see if it can be fixed by us in any shape or form. If you have any more specific questions or concerns you can reach out to me at any time at [email protected] Thank you for wanting to help out with a great cause.
