LEGO has announced a new Make & Take event at Brand Stores with the LEGO Reindeer. The event will be held next week on Friday, November 13 at 5pm-7pm local time. The build features a little reindeer that you can use as an ornament for your tree.

Friday, November 13th 2026 from 5-7pm
A limited quantity will be available.

LEGO Reindeer make and take event is intended for participants aged 6+ years. The LEGO Reindeer model will be available on a first come first serve basis, at participating locations, while supplies last. LEGO Reindeer offer is valid on November 13th, from 5-7pm only. Limited to one LEGO Reindeer build per guest. LEGO Reindeer model cannot be purchased.

LEGO will be doing a Black Friday 2026 livestream on November 3 where they will be revealing a new set. They didn’t say what it was yet but the caption does say something BIG is coming. Last year’s livestream was for the LEGO Icons Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D (10356) so we could see something in that scale. There will also be a Q&A with set designers and LEGO Insiders will have a chance to win a signed copy of the mystery set.

LEGO Brand Stores this coming weekend will be having another building event but this time, it will be what I believe to be the first paid one for the Blooming Rainbow Party. The event will be held on October 17-18 and each spot will cost $5 each. You can sign up now at your nearest store and you’ll have to pay first. I’m not sure how popular these paid building events will be or if LEGO Stores will be doing more for the builders.

The LEGO Group has been sued by a patent company, May Patents Ltd., that alleges LEGO SMART Play infringes on three of its patents. According to Bloomberg, the patents in question are US Patent Nos. 11,192,002, 12,095,277, and 12,288,992 and they state that the LEGO SMART Brick and charger have similar features as the patented items including the accelerometer to produce an output signal and a visual display to give information to the user.

May Patent also allege that LEGO knew about the patents before SMART Play launched back in March and are looking for damages. Note that May Patents Ltd. is considered a Non-Practicing Entity (NPE) which is commonly known as patent trolls. They acquire patents not to manufacture products but to file lawsuits to get licensing fees and/or settlements.
