LEGO VIP Gold Coin Releasing May 20

If you receive the LEGO VIP newsletters, you may have gotten one today stating the last VIP collectible coin will be available starting on May 20 on the Rewards Center. This is the fifth one in the series and it is the centerpiece for the display case if you were able to get it.

In addition, it also states that if you missed out on the previous coins, they’ll be back later this year. There’s no mention how big the restock is but at least people will get a second chance to get the first four coins, particularly the Space one that went out of stock in only a few hours. It’s nice to see that LEGO has taken feedback to make more for those who weren’t able to get one.

Two More Projects Archived on BrickLink Designer Program

As the pre-production phase of the BrickLink Designer Program is beginning to wrap up by the end of May, many projects are finalizing their designs for the crowdfunding stage. In the past day, there have been two additional projects that have been archived which include the Temple of Hermit by Brickfornia and Japanese Old Style Architecture by TAXON55.

The Temple of Hermit was archived “due to the complexity of revising the model for the program.” The Japanese Old Style Architecture was withdrawn “due to other obligations” from the designer. These projects join the three from RobenAnne that were withdrawn last month and it leaves 26 projects left to potentially move on to the crowdfunding phase.
