LEGO 2K Drive Servers Shutting Down May 2027

It has been announced that LEGO 2K Drive will be shutting down its online servers on May 31, 2027. The last day that you can purchase the game on STEAM, Epic Games, PlayStation, and XBox will be on May 19, 2026 while Nintendo Switch will end on June 5. If you’ve already purchased it before the dates, you will still be able to play it. Once the online servers shut down next year, you can only play Story Mode and local split screen.

As the race comes down to the wire, our drivers are entering their final lap with LEGO 2K Drive! We can see the finish line where servers will be sunset and only offline modes will remain.

What does this mean? Sales of LEGO 2K Drive for Steam, Epic, PlayStation, and Xbox which includes Coins, DLC, and game bundles, will stop on May 19, 2026. Nintendo Switch sales will end June 5, 2026. If you’ve already purchased LEGO 2K Drive, you will still be able to download it and play it after these dates.

Then, on May 31, 2027 the online services and game modes will end their race and move to the Winner’s Circle. Offline game modes that include Story Mode and Local Split-Screen Multiplayer will still be playable after the server sunset.

Pre-Order the Deluxe Edition Now for 72-Hour Early Access Beginning May 19

Warner Bros. Games today released a new LEGO® Batman™: Legacy of the Dark Knight trailer spotlighting the Deluxe Edition, which offers a wide range of content to expand the experience.

All Deluxe Edition pre-orders will receive 72-hour early access to the game beginning on May 19, prior to the main launch on May 22. Start times may vary by platform and region. See retailer for details.

Beginning with the May 19 early access launch, Deluxe Edition owners will have access to new suits, vehicles, and Batcave props inspired by the Batman: Arkham videogame series, Batman Beyond television series, and a party music themed pack to let loose in Gotham City.

Available in September, Deluxe Edition owners can play the upcoming Mayhem Mode featuring The Joker and Harley Quinn as playable characters. Each of these DC Super-Villains will have their own abilities, gadgets, and takedowns as they break out of Arkham Asylum and cause chaos on the streets. LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight New Gameplay with Kiss From a Rose

Warner Bros. Games has gone all in for the upcoming release of the LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight video game by releasing a new trailer with Kiss From a Rose. The new trailer shows some new gameplay with a backdrop of Seal’s iconic song from Batman Forever.

LEGO SEGA Genesis Console (40926) Revealed

LEGO has revealed the next video game system set with the SEGA Genesis Console (40926). Releasing on June 1, the set has 479 pieces and will retail for $49.99. The set features the brick-built version of the original SEGA Genesis console, also called the Mega Drive in other parts of the world. It comes with two controllers and a copy of Sonic the Hedgehog 2. The Genesis was one of my big boy consoles after the Nintendo so I’ll definitely be picking this one up for nostalgia purposes.

LEGO Batman: Build the Legacy of the Batmobile Contest

LEGO Ideas has kicked off a new building contest called LEGO Batman: Build the Legacy of the Batmobile where the winning ones will be put in the game. LEGO wants you to design a Batmobile that pays homage to the Batman lore. There will be five winners and the designs will be on a custom billboard placed in Gotham City. Of course, you’ll also win a digital code for the deluxe version of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight and the four Batman sets.
