The LEGO DC Super Villains video game releases in a few short weeks and earlier today, Arthur Parsons did a livestream at EGX and he has “accidentally” revealed the all the playable characters in the base game. New LEGO Tencent Video Game Launching September 19

LEGO Tencent Video Game

Here’s something very interesting that has surfaced recently regarding LEGO video games. If you remember from a few days ago, I reported that there’s a rumor of a LEGO The Legend of Zelda video game that was supposedly planned for a Nintendo Direct announcement. People have been saying that it could be a fake rumor and I’ll leave it at that. However yesterday, Yicai Global tweeted out some cryptic images of a brick-built yellow brick, a brick-built sword, and a knight minifigure and the tweet says Tencent and LEGO are teaming up to launch a game on September 19.

With the help of my mom, the translations for the images are as follows. The yellow brick one says something to “You’ve gone through many maps. You haven’t went into this gaming world.” The image with the sword says, “You’ve had a lot of equipment. You have never used this LEGO one. Each piece is individually crafted.” Finally, the knight minifigure images says, “You’ve fought a lot of enemies but not this one.”

It’s very curious to what this new LEGO Tencent video game will be but I’m assuming it will be a role-playing game (RPG) where you can level up your character and use different weapons fighting enemies and bosses in a large world. One thing to note is that the sword shown does not look like the Master Sword that Link uses in The Legend of Zelda series so that kind of debunks that this is a Legend of Zelda game.

LEGO The Legend of Zelda Planned for Nintendo Direct?

Okay this is a rumor post that I did not expect to see but it’s circling around the social medias so I might as well put it out there. The planned Nintendo Direct was supposed to happen a few days ago but it has been indefinitely delayed due to the earthquake in Hokkaido, Japan. Currently floating around the interwebs is a list of some of the planned announcements for the event which includes LEGO The Legend of Zelda. This is the first time I’ve heard this and the list didn’t specify if it is a new video game or LEGO sets based on the popular franchise.

If this rumor is true, it mark another video game that will be a LEGO-related theme, joining LEGO Overwatch and Minecraft, just to name a few. If you’re new to the LEGO scene, the Legend of Zelda franchise has been a popular on especially when it involves LEGO. You can see from all the fan MOCs as well as the four projects that have been proposed on LEGO CUUSOO and LEGO Ideas.

Again this LEGO The Legends of Zelda thing is still purely speculation at this moment. Until LEGO or Nintendo actually announces something, I would take it with a grain of salt. Try not to get your hopes up too much at this point in time.
