LEGO Ideas August 15 Update – Nine More Projects Qualify

It was another busy week for the LEGO Ideas Second 2026 Review Stage as nine more projects have entered the fray for a chance to become a future LEGO Ideas set. As of this post, we’re now up to 77 projects that have qualified for review with a few weeks left to go as the period ends on September 7.

Target currently has the LEGO Ideas The Evolution of STEM (21355) on sale for 43% off the regular price. This effectively drops the price of the set down to only $45.99 and it saves you $34 on it. The set was released back in 2025 and it features historic innovations from the past that bursts out of a book. It also has minifigures of Marie Curie, Sir Isaac Newton, and George Washington Carver.

The finalists have been announced and you can now vote for your favorite from the list. This will be a quick vote as it runs until August 19 and the winner will be announced on August 26.

LEGO Ideas The X-Files: Scully’s Lab (40896) Sold Out on LEGO Shop

The LEGO Ideas The X-Files: Scully’s Lab (40896) gift with purchase promotion went on for a bit but it has officially gone out of stock on the LEGO Shop. It did fairly well considering the LEGO Ideas The X-Files (21369) has been on backorder status for a few days now. The US was also the last major country to sell out of the set as many other countries sold out days ago.

If you did miss out on it, you don’t have to worry about going to the secondary market just yet. The Disney Store is also currently having the promotion for the GWP. You’ll need a $130 of any item, not just LEGO, and use the code ACCESS at checkout to add it to your cart. A Disney Store account is needed and the promo will end on August 11, while supplies last.

LEGO Ideas The X-Files Scully’s Lab (40896) Promo at Disney Store

Although it is still available at the LEGO Shop, the Disney Store is also offering the LEGO Ideas The X-Files Scully’s Lab (40896) with purchases of $130. You can pretty much add any general item and have your cart have $130 or more, then use the code ACCESS during checkout to get it. The items do not have to be LEGO but the downside is that you don’t get any Insiders points towards the LEGO Shop. The offer ends on August 11, while supplies last.
