LEGO Ideas Exo Suit (21109) Officially Revealed

The long-awaited reveal of the LEGO Ideas #007 Exo Suit (21109) is finally here. Peter Reid has been teasing us with various images and anticipation was mounting for the official reveal and the LEGO Ideas blog has released animated video by Chris Salt of the set. There’s no other details on the blog but as we mentioned from a previous article, the set will be available on August 1st and includes 321 pieces and retailing for $34.99. Along with the Exo Suit, we also get two green Classic Space minifigures and the turtle! An image over on Brickset shows the set leaked early from the revised instructions of the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 but was quickly taken off so it wouldn’t spoil the reveal. LEGO Ideas Exo Suit (21109) German Calendar Teaser

A reader by the name of Fred has informed us in the comments of an earlier post that the German LEGO Calendar/Catalog has teased part of the box of the LEGO Ideas Exo Suit (21109). There’s no other details but from what little we can see from the box, it looks really cool. Also in the image is part of the arm of the Exo Suit so you can kind of see how it was created. The image lists the set being available on August 1st for Germany but I think that date is worldwide.

Update: Fred also mentions that the set will include more than one minifigure so we’ll probably get both members of Salvage Team Alpha Zero Nine. The listing in the ad also states 321 pieces and we already knew it would retail for $34.99.

LEGO Ideas Exo Suit (21109) Fast Approaching

Peter Reid has teased another image of his countdown to the reveal of the LEGO Ideas Exo Suit (21109). It looks like Salvage Team Alpha Zero Nine is getting ever so closer to the door in the Arcadia but what is behind it still remains to be seen. Could the team be face-to-face with their enemies or will they find the Exo Suit behind the doors. The teasing is torture for a lot of us but I’m guessing that the LEGO Ideas Exo Suit (21109) could be revealed at Brick Fiesta this weekend in San Antonio, TX. I may be way off but it certainly seems like it considering the amount of steps the Salvage Team has to the door compared to how many days left until the convention.

LEGO Ideas Exo Suit (21109) Reveal Countdown Continues

The next part of what appears to be the countdown to revealing the LEGO Ideas Exo Suit (21109) has appeared online and this part even includes a video to go along with it. The image and video shows a couple members of Salvage Team Alpha Zero Nine with a little turtle-looking robot responding to a distress call. The message also mentions of heavily-armed beings outside of where the team is located and they can’t “outrun them on foot.” What if they could outrun them riding the Exo Suit? Hmmmm. As the video fades out, you can also see the LEGO Ideas logo in the static.

From what we’ve seen so far, the Exo Suit (21109) set will have something to do with the Classic Space theme and it may include numerous minifigures. Anticipation is brewing and these short teasers are an awesome marketing tactic by everything that’s involved with the project. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the Salvage Team behind those doors.

LEGO Ideas Exo Suit (21109) Reveal Countdown

It looks like Peter Reid and LEGO has started their countdown to officially revealing the new LEGO Ideas Exo Suit (21109). Peter has released an image showing a message that says “Report in 24hrs” (as of yesterday). Even the LEGO Ideas Facebook Page has posted the image so it’s imminent that something is coming in the very near future. Hopefully, it a awesome marketing strategy with small reveals everyday until it is fully revealed at the end.

Later this month, Peter will be at the launch event at the Bluewater LEGO Store in the UK. There’s no word on whether the Exo Suit will be available for purchase at the event.

LEGO Ideas Exo Suit (21109) Launch Event in UK on July 26th

The English version of the European July/August 2014 Store Calendar is now available which has some of the same offers we reported earlier this week. This particular version looks like it is the UK version and there’s one additional thing on the list of events that is worth mentioning. That event is the meet-and-greet with Peter Reid, the creator of the LEGO Ideas Exo Suit (21109), at the Bluewater LEGO Store on July 26th from 12-4pm. There’s no mentioning whether if the Exo Suit will be available for purchase during the event or not but we do know that it will be available for us in the States in August with an estimated retail price of $34.99.
