LEGO Ideas Bluey! Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Bluey! project by Monkey Scout is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. Maybe I’m too boomer to know what this is about and it’s the first time that I’ve heard of it but it’s based on an Australian TV show and it’s popular enough to hit the 10k goal in three days. The build features the main characters in brick-built form and it also has their house and car.

The project now joins Lilo & Stitch: Beach House, Indiana Jones, Raiders of the Lost Ark – 40th Anniversary, Motorized Steampunk Skyship, Auto Repair Garage 1930s, Fishing in Muddy Waters, Lisbon Tram (Electrico de Lisboa), Medieval Alchemist, Working Orrery, Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: Escher Room, Working Polaroid Sun 600 LMS, LEGO Mushroom House, The World of Engineering: Types of Bridges, The Art Center, University of Brickester, Tuscan Villa, Traditional Japanese Village, The Krusty Krab – Spongebob Squarepants, Viking Village, Sikorsky S-70I Firehawk Cal Fire Edition, Medieval Guarded Inn, Taskmaster, Ski Chalet, Red London Telephone Box, Witch House, The Old Train Engine Shed, Terraria, The Great Wave Off Kanagawa, Gravity Falls: The Mystery Shack, Chinese Garden, Sony Walkman, Golden Trumpet Tree With Park Bench, The A-Team: I Love It When a Plan Comes Together, The Treasury – Petra, Heartstopper Charlie’s Room, Medieval Watchtower, Garfield – 2-in-1, Armada Continue

SHINE A BEACON OF LIGHT INTO YOUR HOME WITH THE LEGO® IDEAS MOTORIZED LIGHTHOUSE SET

18th August 2022: The LEGO Group has revealed a bright new set – The LEGO® Ideas Motorized Lighthouse. The latest LEGO Ideas set is a fan-inspired design, towering in height at 50cm tall – and is a unique way to add a new display piece to your home as it comes complete with a motorized light.

Full of details, the 2,065 piece set is designed authentically to mirror how a real lighthouse operates. It sits on its own island, with a staircase leading up to the lightkeeper’s cottage, plus two minifigures and their boat also add detail to the display.

The LEGO Ideas Motorized Lighthouse is based on an idea shared by 20-year old, Canadian LEGO fan, Sandro Quattrini. Sandro submitted his original concept on the LEGO Ideas platform, where it reached 10,000 votes from fellow LEGO fans. The concept was then commissioned by the LEGO Group to be made into a real set.

Sandro, who is currently studying animation, was inspired to design the lighthouse by a childhood trip. “My mother loves lighthouses, and she has been telling me
