Quietly, LEGO has officially revealed the new LEGO BrickHeadz Minions: The Rise of Gru sets on the LEGO Shop. There are two sets and they include Gru, Stuart and Otto (40420) and Belle Bottom, Kevin and Bob (40421). We’ll have our reviews of the sets later on today so stay tuned.

LEGO Minions: The Rise of Gru Finally Gets Release Date

It looks like we finally have the release dates for the three LEGO Minions: The Rise of Gru sets that we thought was going to release last year. LEGO has listed the release dates for these sets for April 26. We aren’t exactly sure why LEGO decided to release two sets last year and not the rest of them at the same time. The movie has recently been pushed back to July 1, 2022.

Minions in Gru’s Lab (75546) – 87 pieces – $19.99

Minion Pilot in Training (75547) – 119 pieces – $29.99

Minions Kung Fu Battle (75550) – 310 pieces – $39.99

LEGO May 2020 Double VIP Point Sets

If you didn’t see yet, LEGO updated their Double VIP Points sets for May 2020 and they are sets that have just recently been released. First is the LEGO Minions Brick-Built Minions and Their Lair (75551) and you can earn 650 points on it. The other set is the LEGO DC Super Heroes WW84 Wonder Woman vs. Cheetah (76157) and you can get 520 points for it.

New LEGO Sets Available on Shop@Home – April 2020

There are some brand new LEGO sets that are available today for various themes on LEGO Shop@Home. First is the LEGO Technic fast & Furious Dom’s Dodge Charger (42111) which has 1,077 pieces and retail for $99.99.

Another set that is now available is the LEGO DC Wonder Woman vs. Cheetah (76157) which is for the Wonder Woman 1984 movie. It has 371 pieces and retails for $39.99.

Lastly we have a couple of sets from the LEGO Minions: The Rise of Gru. The Unstoppable Bike Chase (75549) has 136 pieces and retails for $19.99. The other is the Brick-Built Minions and Their Lair (75551). That one goes for $49.99 and has 876 pieces.

We’ve already seen quite a bit of the sets from the 2020 New York Toy Fair but we can now clearly see some of the play features for them as well.

LEGO Minions: The Rise of Gru Box Art Images

A few days ago, we got our first look at the LEGO Minions: The Rise of Gru sets but there were no images of the box art for them. We had a representative go to New York Toy Fair 2020 on behalf of The Brick Fan and they managed to get some images of the Minions sets at the LEGO Booth including the boxes for the sets. I will say that I like the look of them as the color scheme does capture their style. The LEGO Minions sets will be available starting on April 27.
