Rest of LEGO Toys R Us Bricktober 2017 Sets Revealed

Exclusive minifigures at Toys'R'Us

It looks like we have a look at the full line up for the Toys R Us Bricktober 2017 promotion thanks to BrickSamurai. I’ve already talked about the The LEGO Batman Movie (5004939) and the LEGO City Jungle Exploration (5004940) but we can now see the other two sets in the series.

There will be a generic minifigure series that includes a boxer, a hippie, a cheerleader, and a sailor. These minifigure don’t look that special as they are recolors of previous minifigures. The cheerleader looks to be the human form of the Zombie Cheerleader from the Series 14 Monsters Collectible Minifigures. This is listed as set #4 for of the series.

The other set based on LEGO Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu and not on The LEGO Ninjago Movie as previously rumored. The minifigures in this set include a white Nendroid, Neuro, Acronix, and Season 4 Rebooted version Kai, confirmed by Simon Lucas. This one is listed as the first set of the series.

Now that we’ve seen all of the Toys R Us Bricktober 2017 sets, the most interesting one is definitely the one for The LEGO Batman Movie. The other sets are fairly bland but the Ninjago one does look somewhat interesting. There’s no word on when Bricktober is here in the US but it’s usually in October so we have a few more weeks before we know the details.

LEGO Ninjago Showrunner Responds to Concerns for Season 8

LEGO NInjago Sons of Garmadon

Yesterday was the LEGO Ninjago TV series panel at SDCC 2017 and attendees were able to see a short clip of the Season 8 Sons of Garmadon. While I was live-tweeting, some fans had more questions that were answered at the panel while others were somewhat skeptical of what to expect. Showrunner Tommy Andreasen has taken to Twitter to give a response on some of the feedback. Here’s the transcribed version.

Hi All!

Thank you all for your responses to our season 8 sneak peak, revealed at San Diego Comic Con. Some of you have asked some questions or expressed concerns, so here is a response which hopefully will address most of them.

Season 8 of Ninjago is scheduled to come out in 2018. Though it may not be evident from the opening scene revealed at Comic Con, it is indeed the continuation of the TV series story line. It has been specifically written with a keen eye on what long time fans of the series have expressed desire to know more about.

One of Ninjago’s key strengths has always been it’s ability to change. We want each season to feel unique, and the show has a long history of twisting plots, structure and taking daring chances.

Several characters like Zane and Cole has had major updates during the series long run. Usually these changes happen within the episodes. This time however since time has passed since the end o Hands of Time, the changes are simply there. Where it may raise questions as you first

LEGO Ninjago SDCC 2017 Panel Recap

The LEGO Ninjago TV series panel was earlier today at San Diego Comic Con 2017 and there was some new information regarding Season 8. I was also live-tweeting the panel which can check out on Twitter.

The panel consisted of Writers Kevin and Dan Hageman, showrunner Tommy Andreasen, senior creative director Simon Lucas, IP lead Nelson Lamonica, and suprise guest David Shayne. The first thing the panel talked about was last season’s Hands of Time.

Finally, there was the big question of where Wu is. We’ll find out more in Season 8. One cool thing that was touched on was some kids at last year’s panel gave some suggestions on how Zane got his powers and the Hagemans took those suggestions and we will be seeing them next season.

LEGO Ninjago Coming to San Diego Comic Con 2017

Yesterday I reported that The LEGO Ninjago Movie will be coming to San Diego Comic Con 2017 and it looks like the LEGO Ninjago animated TV show will also be coming as well. Dan and Kevin Hageman over on Twitter has confirmed that the show will be holding their own panel, similar to previous years.

As to what the LEGO Ninjago panel will be about, that’s up to anyone’s speculation. My guess is that it will focus on the storyline from the animated series and the impact the end of the Hands of Time arc has on the Ninjas.

There’s no word yet on when the LEGO Ninjago panel at SDCC will be but we’ll have more details when the schedules come out in the next few weeks.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie D2C Ninjago City Set Coming?

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Ninjago City

The LEGO Ninjago Movie trailer has been released over a month ago and so far there been little information about the sets that will accompany the movie. We do know that there will be quite a few sets featuring the mechs, which can be seen in the trailer, that were shown off at the 2017 New York Toy Fair but no photography was allowed.

One of my sources has told me about another set that will be coming out this summer as well which is a D2C Ninjago City set. There was no other info that was given except that it would be a pretty large set and could possibly be some sort of modular building.

As always, keep this as a rumor since there hasn’t been any other information on this set but I do feel confident about it.
