LEGO Star Wars Lightsaber Make & Take for US – March 8

Previously a UK event, LEGO has brought the LEGO Star Wars Lightsaber Make & Take over to the US for this upcoming weekend. The event will be held on March 8 at 12pm-2pm at most LEGO Brand Stores. The LEGO Store at Garden State in Paramus, NJ and at The LEGO Store at University Place in Orem, UT will have their event on Saturday March 7th, 2026 from 12pm-2pm.

LEGO March 2026 Sets Now Available on LEGO Shop

March is now here and there are over 40 new LEGO sets that are now available for purchase on the LEGO Shop. For the promotions, we still have the same ones that launched a few days ago.


The Kanto Region Badge Collection (40892) GWP is still available until March 3 with the purchase of the Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise (72153).


The main promotion available is the LEGO Restaurants of the World: Japan (40906) which is available with general purchases of $180.


The LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Orange Cat (30714) is available with $40 purchases of Animal Crossing, LEGO Creator 3-in-1, Friends, and/or LEGO Harry Potter.


For the F1 fans, there’s the LEGO Speed Champions Mini F1 Academy Car (30734) with purchases of any of the LEGO Formula 1 sets.


The LEGO BrickHeadz Fortnite Beef Boss & Skye (40910) can be redeemed with 2,500 Insiders points.

LEGO Star Wars Grogu (Mandalorian Apprentice) (75446) Officially Announced

Another LEGO Star Wars Mandalorian & Grogu set has been officially revealed with Grogu (Mandalorian Apprentice) (75446). Releasing on April 26 (pre-order today), the set has 1,200 pieces and will retail for $129.99. We have an updated larger scale Grogu with him this time wearing beskar armor and satchel around the body. There’s also a display plaque that includes a minifigure of Grogu with the beskar armor printing.

LEGO has officially revealed some new April 2026 LEGO Star Wars sets ahead of the New York Toy Fair. The sets are based on the upcoming The Mandalorian & Grogu movie coming to theaters.

More LEGO Star Wars SMART Play Sets Revealed

LEGO has revealed some new LEGO Star Wars SMART Play sets that you can pre-order today. These sets are SMART Play compatible meaning that they do have SMART Minifigures and SMART Tags but the SMART Bricks themselves are not included. You’ll need to get either Darth Vader’s TIE Fighter (75241), Luke’s Red Five X-Wing (75423), or Throne Room Duel & A-Wing (75427) to get the SMART Brick if you want full functionality of the system.


SMART Play: Luke’s Landspeeder (75420) – 215 pieces/$39.99

LEGO SMART Play Only Launching in Six Markets Worldwide

Pre-orders for the LEGO SMART Play Star Wars sets went live yesterday but if you were in certain countries, you aren’t able to place your orders. After the CES 2026 event, we’ve gotten some more information about the LEGO SMART Play system and it was revealed that the sets will only be available on March 1 for six launch markets: United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Poland, and Australia. This wasn’t mentioned during CES or at any presentations afterward so that’s very baffling. The following details are LEGO’s statement on why there are only six countries for the launch:

The first LEGO SMART Play sets will be on shelf from 1st March 2026 in our six launch markets: US, UK, France, Germany, Poland and Australia.

It wasn’t launched globally, as LEGO® SMART Play is a major transformative company-wide initiative that spans our entire value chain, from R&D to manufacturing and retail. Owing to the complexities of launching this innovative new platform we’ve phased launch to ensure the best customer experience we can.

While we can’t share more information right now on further market availability, our teams are working really hard to get LEGO SMART Play to fans and builders across the world. Please stay tuned and we’ll share more information as soon as we can.
