LEGO Star Wars Mini Wookiee Gunship Toys R Us Building Event on May the 4th Weekend

Friends of the site Kelly, aka Kelyn39, along with her sons informed us of an upcoming Toys R Us LEGO building event that will be held on May the 4th weekend on Sunday May 3 from 12-2pm. For this event, kids will be able to build a mini LEGO Star Wars Wookiee Gunship. The build has a similar shape to the 75084icon set but at a smaller scale.

This will most likely be a very popular event and inventory will probably run out very quick. I do highly suggest that you get there at least a hour early to get in line as these type of Toys R Us building events can get really busy. Thanks again to Kelly, Ian, and Declan for tagging me and letting me know about it.

New Details About LEGO Star Wars: Droid Tales

LEGO Star Wars Droid Tales

At the last panel of day 2 at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim, LEGO revealed the trailer for the upcoming Disney XD animated show, LEGO Star Wars: Droid Tales. The show will be retelling the Star Wars saga through C-3PO’s eyes.

As I reported before, there will be five 22-minute episodes. Each episode will be divided into the different movies in the saga. The first episode of the show will contain various events from Episode I: The Phantom Menace and Episode II: Attack of the Clones. The second episode will have scenes from Episode III: Revenge of the Sith as well as parts from The Clone Wars. The third episode of Droid Tales will have events from both Episode IV: A New Hope and some from Star Wars Rebels. Episode four will be featuring scenes from Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back and finally the last 22-minute episode will be for Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.

There was also a question and answer session and someone asked will the LEGO Death Star be updated. Obviously, they couldn’t answer it but Jason Cosler did say “Stay tuned for in the future, you’ll be happily surprised with what’s coming out in the future.” If you remember, there was a rumor earlier this month of a new Death Star set coming out next year. I still don’t know if this rumor is reliable or not but keep your eyes peeled.

Droid Tales will be premiering in July and episodes will be airing every month up until … Continue

LEGO Star Wars Buildable Figure Jango Fett (75107) Unveiled at SWCA

Earlier today, LEGO unveiled the last of the LEGO Star Wars Buildable Figures at Star Wars Celebration 2015 with Jango Fett (75107). The set contains 85 pieces and will be available in September. You can check out the full 360 degree view of Jango Fett below.

This initial wave of Buildable Figures may not be the last we see of this subtheme. A reader who’s been attending SWCA the past couple of days emailed in today reporting that they overheard a rumor that there may be another wave of Buildable Figures based on characters from Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. Obviously, it’s still to early to know if there is indeed another wave coming out but I’ll keep my eye out to see if this rumor is real or not.

LEGO Star Wars Summer 2015 Sets Reveals at Star Wars Celebration VII – Day 1

Today at Star Wars Celebration VII 2015, LEGO unveiled to the general public some of the summer 2015 wave of LEGO Star Wars sets. Unfortunately, they were nothing new that we’ve already seen before back in February at New York Toy Fair which was for press viewing. The sets that were shown off so far today were the Luke Skywalker (75110) and Darth Vader (75111) Buildable Constraction sets, the Imperial Shuttle Tydirium (75094), and the Imperial Assault Carrier (75106). If the videos below were too quick or blurry, visit our link above to see clearer still shots of the sets. Stay tuned this weekend as more sets will be revealed but I have a feeling that they are sets that we’ve already seen images of before.

Update: Right when I hit publish on this post, LEGO tweeted out a 360 degree view of the General Grievous (75112) Buildable set. Also review was the Obi-Wan Kenobi (75109) figure as well. I’ll keep an eye out if there are any other reveals today.
