LEGO DC Universe Super Heroes/Star Wars 2014 Minifigures

Solid Brix Studios has posted an image of a couple of the new LEGO minifigures from DC Universe Super Heroes as well as Star Wars. As you can see, he has acquired a new variant of the Joker most likely from The Joker Steam Roller (76013) set. He also has a V-Wing Starfighter Pilot from the V-Wing Starfighter (75039) set. We’re not sure how he has gotten a hold of them but you can be sure that more LEGO minifigures and set images will be popping up very soon.

Update: Doing some research, I’ve found that it was the same user on BrickLink who “leaked” the Batgirl minifigure.

Update: Looks like the “original” imaged posted by Solid Brix Studios has been taken down.

LEGO Star Wars 3-in-1 Super Pack (66456)

Belgian online retailer ColliShop has revealed a new LEGO Star Wars 3-in-1 Super Pack (66456) which includes the AT-RT (75002), Z-95 Headhunter (75004), and the BARC Speeder with Sidecar (75012). The Super Pack will have a suggested retail price of €99.99 and will be released later this year. The total number of pieces in the Super Pack comes to 821 and all three sets were released earlier this year.

What’s interesting to note is that all three sets are cheaper when bought separately. Doing a quick dollar conversion will make the Super Pack come to about $133.06, while buying them separately will only run you $94.97 from Shop@Home. There’s no word on whether it will be available at retailers here in the States such as Toys R Us stores.

Various LEGO Polybags at Target Stores

LEGO Seasonal Witch (40032)

Today, I was at my local Target store, the one on Mira Mesa for you San Diego readers, and found a couple of polybags stocked. In the Halloween section in the back of the store is the LEGO Seasonal Witch (40032) which was a LEGO Store exclusive from last fall. It contains 71 pieces and retails for $4.99.

LEGO Star Wars Umbaran MHC Polybag (30243)

The other polybag that was stocked in the Halloween section is the LEGO Star Wars Umbaran MHC (30243). I haven’t seen this polybag before in stores in the US except for today and only had a limited run in a few Canadian stores. It has 49 pieces and goes for $3.99.

LEGO City Mining Dozer Polybag (30151)

The final polybag that I found at Target was the LEGO City Mining Dozer (30151). This polybag was first released at Target stores in 2012 but this is the first time I’ve seen it stocked. It was stocked at the checkout aisles as an impulse buy item. The Dozer has 32 pieces and sells for $4.69.

LEGO Galaxy Squad Mini Mech (30230)

TheOrcKing in the comments has informed us Target has also stocked the LEGO Galaxy Squad Mini Mech (30230) and may possibly have the LEGO City Fire Car (30221) at the the checkout aisles. Both polybags are $3.99 each.

LEGO Star Wars Planets Series 4 Not Sold in United States

LEGO Star Wars Tantive IV & Planet Alderaan (75011)

For those who are collectors of the LEGO Star Wars Planets sets in the United States, FBTB is reporting that Series 4 of the fairly popular sets will not be released here in the States.

The second wave of 2013 LSW planets are no longer launching in the US. They will be available in other global countries, however. As you know, some markets carry slightly different collections depending on their market dynamics, so the strategic decision was made not to launch them in the US.

However, you can still pick up the Snowspeeder & Planet Hoth (75009), B-wing Starfighter & Planet Endor (75010), and Tantive IV & Planet Alderaan (75011) through Bricklink, eBay, or Amazon but at a bit higher prices due to them not being available in the States. If you have contacts in Canada, maybe they can help out since the sets are available there as well. The Planet sets are the final wave for the LEGO Star Wars theme as they are being replaced with the Microfighters line in 2014.

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Set Descriptions

I’ve recently got a chance to see the images of the 2014 wave of the LEGO Star Wars sets and it’s pretty interesting. The boxes are dark colored and feature Darth Vader on the top right corner. The “Recruitment” sets we’ve been reading about are chibi-styled vehicles that the minifigures sit on top of and are labeled “Microfighters”. They are lower priced sets that are portable and allow kids to carry in their pockets. Kids are encouraged to collect and trade the sets amongst themselves. For the system sets, they are described as lower priced sets and are tied to the Lucasfilms movies and The Yoda Chronicles. The sets are listed for a February launch.
