LEGO Retiring Soon List Updated for US – November 2024

LEGO has finally updated their Retiring Soon list on the LEGO Shop for the US and here’s are what sets will be going away soon. Of course this isn’t the comprehensive list as LEGO doesn’t list everything that is retiring but it gives you an idea of what to expect. As of this post, there are 73 items listed as retiring, presumably by the end of the year. Note that some of the sets are older sets, quite a few of them are also from this year.

Update: LEGO has added more items to the list which brings the count to over 100 items.

LEGO Marvel Cerebro (5009015) Sells Out on LEGO Shop

A few hours ago, the LEGO Shop officially sold out of the LEGO Marvel Cerebro (5009015) gift with purchase set. It was only available with the purchase of the X-Men: The X-Mansion (76294) which retails for $329.99. I expected it to sell out yesterday when the set launched but it lasted a little longer than I thought. This either means that LEGO didn’t produce too many of the Cerebro GWPs or LEGO sold quite a good amount of the X-Mansion. Your best chance now to get it is to see if your local LEGO Brand Store still has it in stock or resort to the secondary market. The current resell value is around $60-$65 but is slowly rising.

LEGO Marvel Captain America: Brave New World Sets Revealed

Smyths Toys has revealed two new LEGO Marvel sets based on the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World movie. The two sets that are shown off include the Captain America vs. Red Hulk Battle (76292) and the New Captain America Construction Figure (76296). Both sets are reported to be available in December.

Captain America vs. Red Hulk Battle (76292) – 223 pieces

This fighter jet buildable toy includes an impressive cast of minifigures: Captain America and Falcon (both with opening wings), Red Hulk and Ruth Bat-Seraph. Featuring a large opening cockpit with room inside for a minifigure pilot, the jet is easy for kids to hold and fly around while they launch attacks using the 2 attached stud shooters. A top section of the jet can be removed to reveal a hidden storage compartment in the rear with room for spare studs or mystery medals.

New Captain America Construction Figure (76296) – 359 pieces

For this incarnation of the Marvel super soldier, the winged Falcon takes on the role of Captain America, bringing an extra dimension to kids play experience. This superhero figure has movable shoulder, arm, hip and leg joints, which enable realistic action poses. Large foil wings are attached to the figure’s back. The wings can be bent to mimic flapping and remove easily when the action moves back to the ground. The Captain America figure carries his iconic shield and has a buildable Redwing drone toy fixed to his back, which
