Reported LEGO Price Increase Set List via Barnes & Noble

Last month, LEGO announced an upcoming price increase on sets that are coming as soon as August and now Barnes & Noble has given us a look at what we can expect to see for the new prices at retailers soon. Yesterday, the big news came out on B&N as they updated their site of over 60+ sets that have already gotten the price bump and it doesn’t look good as some sets will be getting an increase of up to 25%.

Note that the official prices on the LEGO Shop are the final prices and prices listed at other retailers are their own prices. With that said now that we can see what we can expect from other retailers, I highly suggest you take advantage of the upcoming Double VIP Points event from July 12-13 and Amazon Prime Day to get the most out of your money as wallet will be hurting in August. This also doesn’t look like it’s the final list if we’re comparing it to the list that StoneWars put out a while back and there will be more sets that will get the price hike later on.

LEGO at the Movies Humble Bundle Video Game Bundle

Humble Bundle currently has a LEGO video game bundle in which you can get nine LEGO games for a minimum of $10. You read that right, nine games with a $229 value of only $10. But of course Humble Bundle is for charity and this bundle helps support Active Minds which is a nonprofit promoting mental health for young adults. LEGO Con 2022 Recap

LEGO Con 2022 completed yesterday with a surprisingly positive response from viewers and there was a lot packed in the two hours of the event. There were more LEGO reveals compared to last year and there were also some teasers that you may have missed in between. If you tuned in live for LEGO Con, LEGO is during a survey and taking feedback about the show. You have until June 27 to fill it out.


Teasers

The not so obvious teaser was during the LEGO Harry Potter segment where LEGO Design Master Marcos Bessa talks to Evanna Lynch about some of the HP sets with the huge Hogwarts Express in the background. There’s been rumors of a large scale Hogwarts Express (76405) coming in the fall that has a reported 5,129 pieces and will retail for €499.99.

The more subtle teaser was during the LEGO Star Wars reveals when LEGO Designers Michael Lee Stockwell and Madison O’Neil both came out wearing shirts with the Razor Crest outline. It has also been rumored that there will be a UCS Razor Crest (75331) that will retail for around $529.99. This rumor is a little more iffy than the Hogwarts Express.

Lastly, we got a first look at potentially one of the next LEGO Minecraft minifigures. There is a fan vote that will be starting soon to choose between the Crystal Knight, Classic Knight, or Prismarine Knight. They said it will be on their Twitter page but we don’t see anything yet.

LEGO Marvel Doctor Strange Sanctum Sanctorum (76218) Revealed

The long rumored LEGO Marvel Doctor Strange Sanctum Sanctorum (76218) has been revealed at LEGO Con 2022. Releasing on August 1, the set has 2,708 pieces and will retail for $249.99. The set includes scenes from both Avengers: Infinity War and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The minifigures included are Ebony Maw, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Wong, Scarlet Witch, Sinister Strange, Master Mordo, Dead Strange, and regular Doctor Strange.

– Age: 18+; 2708 pieces; August 1, 2022, launch; 249.99 EUR/USD
– This 2,708-piece recreation of the Sanctum Sanctorum, the notorious residence of Doctor Strange, incorporates classic scenes from Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The top story houses the museum of mystical collections, the middle section contains the library and at ground-level there are familiar features both inside and out.

LEGO Con 2022 Scheduled Events Revealed

LEGO’s Instagram account a few hours ago looks to have announced all the events and panels that will be happening for this week’s LEGO Con 2022. It will be two hours long starting at 9am PT/12 pm ET and there will be new theme and set reveals which includes the LEGO Avatar: The Way of Water and the rumored Marvel Doctor Strange Sanctum Sanctorum (76218). It also shows that LEGO Ninjago is “getting ready for a grand finale.” This does sound kind of ominous because it could be the end of the LEGO Ninjago theme as we know it. There’s been talk on social media that the theme could be getting a reboot but we’ll see what happens with that.

LEGO Marvel Doctor Strange Reveal Announced for LEGO Con 2022

LEGO has put out another teaser for LEGO Con 2022 and this time it is for a new LEGO Marvel set. All signs are pointing towards the Doctor Strange Sanctum Sanctorum (76218) which has been rumored for a while now. This version of the set will be an updated version of the 76108 set that is said to be on the scale similar to the Daily Bugle. Tune in on June 18 at 9am PT/12pm ET to see all the happenings from LEGO Con 2022.

In my next review of the summer 2022 LEGO Marvel sets, I’ll be checking out the Iron Man Armoury (76216). Coming in at 496 pieces, it retails for a whopping $89.99. The set is based mostly on Iron Man 2 but there are things from other movies as well.
