Although they don’t release until January, Amazon has put up pre-orders for some of the upcoming LEGO Super Mario minifigure scale sets. It is not the full wave but it’s a majority of them. Target also has pre-orders up and if you’re a Circle Card holder, you can also get 5% off.

LEGO Super Mario 2027 Official Box Art Images Revealed

Yesterday we finally got a first look at the minifigure scale LEGO Super Mario sets and today we have the official box art images of the sets. I do like that the color choices of the boxes and they do give off that Super Mario feel to them. Also the sets that are Mario Kart related have the logo on them as well.

LEGO Super Mario Minifigure Sets Officially Announced

LEGO has officially revealed the new wave of minifigure scale LEGO Super Mario sets that will be releasing in January 2027. The sets feature for the first time, LEGO minifigures for various characters in the Super Mario franchise. The sets were initially teased back on MAR10 Day with an image of Mario as a LEGO minifigure. The LEGO Super Mario theme started back in 2020 and it took LEGO seven years to finally give fans what they have been waiting for.

LEGO San Diego Comic Con 2026 Recap

LEGO SDCC 2026

It’s been a few weeks since San Diego Comic Con 2026 ended but we finally got around to do a recap on the LEGO happenings during the event. As I mentioned before, it was overall more subtle this year as evident by the booth layout and the lack of panels.

The LEGO booth this year was focused on the new LEGO SMART Play sets. It was an airport terminal style layout with the flight board taking center stage. Here we have some locations of various LEGO sets and their set numbers. There is a LEGO BIONICLE reference thrown in for Nui Rama (8537) for Metru Nui. The staff there was handing out different LEGO posters each day. If I recall, there was a Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Ninjago, One Piece, and The Mandalorian.

There waa also a scavenger hunt for LEGO luggage tags to win a prize pack. Apparently the luggage tags weren’t just in the exhibit floor but it was spread throughout the whole convention center. I did hear that quite a few people actually found some.

The left side of the board was for LEGO Pokemon and the right was for LEGO Star Wars, each showcasing some of the latest sets for the line including the SMART Play ones. There are some interactive area and areas to take pictures. The backside of the booth was another showcase of recently announced sets.
