A few days ago, we got our first look at the upcoming summer 2019 wave of LEGO Harry Potter sets. We now have the official press release as well as the product details for each of the five sets which are based on Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

The LEGO Group Unveils All-New LEGO Harry Potter™ Range Featuring Scenes Inspired by the Harry Potter Film Series

[29thApril, UK, 10am GMT] The LEGO Group has today announced five brand new additions to its hugely popular LEGO Wizarding World™ range, featuring scenes from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Available from June 1st, the new products offer builders the opportunity to recreate scenes inspired by the 3rd and 4th Harry Potter films.

Sets inspired by scenes from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban include the iconic Knight Bus™ that transported Harry from the Dursley’s home to The Leaky Cauldron, as well as an all-new stag Patronus™ element in a new set that allows fans to play and help save Sirius Black from the Dementors in the Forbidden Forest.

Beloved creature, Buckbeak the Hippogriff also makes an appearance in all-new play set of Hagrid’s Hut, which opens upto offer more magical play experiences.

LEGO Wins Four Toy of the Year 2019 Awards

Back in November of last year, the nominees for the 2019 Toy of the Year awards were announced and LEGO was nominated for a few categories. The awards show was yesterday and I’m happy to report that LEGO has won in four of the seven categories they were in. It seemed that many of the voters enjoyed the return of the LEGO Harry Potter line as the theme took home three awards. Another great for LEGO and it looks like they’re already making a run for next year’s awards with the newly announced LEGO Hidden Side theme.

LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter Sets Rumored for 2019

The LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter theme was a really popular one last year and it looks like we may not see the end of it anytime soon. Brick Fanatics has gotten information that we could see another wave coming this summer. The wave would make up of at least five sets and they would be based on the following:

-Expecto Patronum
-Triwizard Challenge/Tournament
-Hagrid’s Hut
-Knight Bus
-Hogwarts Watch Tower

Of course, everything is a rumor until LEGO announces it or images of the sets show up early at a retailer.

LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle (71043) Review

Last year, LEGO announced the release of the LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle (71043) that contains 6,020 pieces and retailing for $399.99. It look me a while but I’ve finally finished building and taking pictures for this review. The contents of the massive box include 37 numbered bags, four sticker sheets, and four instruction booklets.

LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Whomping Willow (75953) Review

Onwards with my reviews of the LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter sets, the next one I’ll be taking a look at is the Hogwarts Whomping Willow (75953). The set has 753 pieces and retails for $69.99 but you can probably find it a bit cheaper for the next few weeks or so. There are five numbered bags, two instruction booklets, and a sticker sheet.

LEGO Ideas has a cool new building contest called Magical Builds of the Wizarding World which has some great prizes up for grabs. All you have to do is to build something in one of these categories:

1. Creatures from the Wizarding World (Harry Potter/Fantastic Beasts)
2. Hogwarts items and icons

Since there are tons of things to choose from the Wizarding World Universe, there’s almost an unlimited amount of things that you can create.
