LEGO Birthday Cupcake (40905) GWP Revealed

LEGO has revealed a new upcoming gift with purchase set with the LEGO Birthday Cupcake (40905). The 174 piece set features a brick-built cupcake that can be customized with various decorative pieces. There’s no word yet on when it will be available or the price requirement to get it but I’m guessing it’ll be at the beginning of the new year.

Celebrate kids’ birthdays with the LEGO® Birthday Cupcake (40905) toy. This customizable birthday gift comes with a range of colorful tiles and shapes letting kids decorate their cake in lots of creative ways. This customizable small toy includes a chef minifigure holding a balloon animal that young builders can use to decorate the cupcake, as well as candles for their age. LEGO Star Wars Gingerbread AT-AT Walker (40806) Restocked on LEGO Shop

The LEGO Star Wars Gingerbread AT-AT Walker (40806) has restocked on the LEGO Shop. Although it’s listed on backorder status, you can still place an order for it and it’ll ship in 60 days. The set has been extremely popular since its release back in October as it has been out of stock since. It does qualify for a couple of current promotions including the LEGO Creation Celebration: Ferris Wheel with Fireworks (40758) with a $85 purchase or the LEGO Spring Festival Lucky Knots (40756) with a $150 purchase.

The Brick Fan Top 5 LEGO GWPs of 2025

Yesterday we did our list for our Top 5 LEGO sets of 2025 and now we’re doing our list of best gift with purchase sets. It didn’t seem like it but LEGO released 77 GWPs this year ranging from polybags to small-to-medium sized sets, although a small number of them were for new LEGO Brand Store openings. Some of the more “premium” GWPs were locked into certain sets that you had to buy when they initially released which has gotten some backlash in recent times. This factor did go into my rankings as well as the price requirements to get them.

5. Tribute to Jane Austen’s Books (40766) – June 2025/$150 purchase

I really love the GWPs that LEGO releases that pay tribute to various people with historical significance. The Jane Austen tribute set does a decent job showing her living room in the style of a book and a minifigure of the author. I’m not sure how LEGO came to choose the person to make a set for but it’s a nice addition. The $150 price requirement is in the middle of the road of the 361 piece set.

4. Mini Knight’s Castle (40775) – November 2025/$250 purchase

The Mini Knight’s Castle has 590 pieces and was only available for a very short time as it was a LEGO Insiders Weekend and Black Friday day exclusive. LEGO Brings Back a Few More GWPs & 2x Insiders Points on Select Sets

I guess LEGO isn’t done with the promotions for 2025 as they have brought back a few from the past including 2x Insiders points on select sets, all of which end at the end of the year. First is the LEGO Star Wars TIE Fighter with Imperial Hangar Rack (40771) when you purchase the Ultimate Collector Series Death Star (75419).

When you purchase the LEGO Harry Potter Hogsmeade Village – Collectors’ Edition (76457), you can get the Hogwarts Castle: Room of Requirement (40770).

For the general purchase GWPs, you can get the LEGO Creation Celebration: Ferris Wheel with Fireworks (40758) when you make a purchase of $85 or more and the LEGO Spring Festival Lucky Knots (40756) when you make a $150 purchase. This would work great on some of the End-of-Year Sales or any sets that are retiring at the end of the year.

For the double Insiders points sets, you can get some extra points when you purchase the LEGO Icons Holiday Express Train (10361), LEGO Icons Shelby Cobra 427 S/C (10357), LEGO The Simpsons Krusty Burger (10352), and LEGO Ideas Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (21360). Other countries have other sets listed for double points.

LEGO Year of the Horse (40779) GWP Revealed

The first image of the upcoming LEGO Year of the Horse (40779) gift with purchase set is now on the LEGO Shop. The set has 132 pieces and it features a cartoony version of the horse from the Chinese Zodiac and it should start being available on December 23. It is the last of the Zodiac animals in this style with the first one being the Sheep (40148) from 2015. The Year of the Horse should be available at the beginning of 2026. Were you able to get all of them the last dozen years?

Give the gift of good fortune with this LEGO® Year of the Horse toy for boys and girls aged 8 and up (40779). This model version of the iconic Zodiac animal has a white and brown mane and has one hoof raised. The horse toy stands on a base that’s decorated with flowers and gold-colored leaf elements. LEGO January 2026 Shopping Guide

January 2026 is only a few weeks away and the month is one of the biggest LEGO release months of the year. We have over 150 new LEGO 2026 sets that will all be dropping at the same time. As far as promotions go, we have one with the LEGO Icons Vintage Parade Car (40913) when you purchase the Shopping Street from January 1-7.

We also have the LEGO Year of the Horse (40779) which should be available starting on December 23. There’s no information on price requirement but I guess it’ll be about $70-$80.
