LEGO Ideas has just announced the results of the Third 2014 LEGO Ideas Review Stage and the next project to become an official set is the Labyrinth Marble Maze by JKBrickworks. As a result, it is the first board game type project to become an official set. As a kid, I remember playing with the original wooden Labyrinth game and this brings back tons of memories. Soon a new generation of kids with get to enjoy this classic game as well.
LEGO is also still considering the Star Citizen F7A Hornet so we could again potentially see two sets becoming official sets from this review stage. As you can see, there were many projects that were worthy of becoming an official LEGO set but alas there could only be one winner (maybe two).

The First 2015 LEGO Review Stage is currently going on and the results of those projects (shown below) are expected to be announced this fall. Around that same time period, more details of The Big bang Theory, Doctor Who, and WALL•E sets will be revealed as well.

Very upsetting that Jurassic Park wasn’t chosen. I was so looking forward to that set to go with my Ghostbusters and Back To The Future sets.
It would have been cool, but I’ve come to terms that any set that has to do with a preexisting theme or a near future one is DOA.
Jeremy Wray,
we may still have a change to get the same Explorer model and minifigures: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/84144

Not likely. This goes 2 ways, one is Lego doesn’t want sets competing with one an another, or two is that they have plans to make classic jurassic park sets since they have the license now. If it is the 2nd option they may have pushed the new movie sets out first so they were out in time to launch with the movie. But most likely we will never see another wave of Jurassic park sets.
What the actual fuck?! They turned down those cool Jurassic Park and Goonies sets for this?
While the maze is interesting, compared with the other contenders, I don’t think it was a good choice honestly. I don’t see myself buying it.
I get the why the ones with licensing issues or upcoming lines (Jurassic and Avengers) might not be picked — but there were many better options imo.
I’m pissed that I will never own a LEGO Minas Tirith.
I know right. There was a rumor that it might be a set for a while & that really got my hopes up until the theme petered out…this was my last sad little hope, even though I was 95% sure it wouldn’t happen. Le sigh.
Lego Ideas is just the worst. Seriously. They need to get their shit together.
