LEGO BIONICLE 2015 Almost Confirmed?

News coming out of Brickipedia this evening is that the return of LEGO BIONICLE is pretty much now confirmed. When you do a search for the term “bionicle” on Shop@Home, it takes you to a “Coming Soon” page which tells you to check back later for more information. LEGO usually puts that placeholder for upcoming releases of new sets.

Earlier this month, we reported that there was a rumored list of 13 sets that will be released in 2015. Another thing that may confirm the return of LEGO BIONICLE is a leaked image that was posted on Groove Bricks of the sets in question. What are your guys’ thoughts on this piece of information? Is anyone excited for the return of LEGO BIONICLE after a couple of years hiatus?

Thanks to George over on Twitter for the heads up.

When I was first hearing the rumours I wasn’t excited since I moved on from Bionicle soon after it ended, but it’s actually starting to excite me more and more with all the hype about it. Maybe I’ll get back into Bionicle if its return turns out to be any good. 🙂

Although I’m not into the Constraction sets, I know there’s a niche group of people who do and this info may get them excited as well.

To me, it was “officially” confirmed when I saw the Defender of Fire used the same rapid-fire piece that was “introduced” through the Wookie Gunship. Still, can’t help getting even a little more excited!

As TBF resident constraction fan(and one time reviewer) I’m extremely excited. I’ve been so busy getting ready for Bricks By The Bay I missed this little nugget of info until Brickset posted it. I’ve also been following the situation on The Three Virtues message boards which is a great place to keep your thumb on the pulse. BZP to but eh….I’ll just say that its a place to be wary of due to a variety of reasons.

I’m with BFN though, I knew it was legit when the second display photos came out and it was pointed out that there’s a new part in there that’s also on the wookie gunship. The evidence is piling up. Lego can’t make any of its usual moves here because the internet has all scanners and magnifying glasses set on this topic. I think lego should just stop beating around the bush and put out a press release. They’ve already just blew what semblance of a cover they’ve got with the Lego.Shop situation. Make it official and let everyone see the new sets and let hype build for it I say.
