Complex has revealed the exclusive LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Classic TV series Batmobile that will be sold at San Diego Comic Con 2014. Since this year marks the 75th anniversary of Batman, LEGO has created this little beauty for SDCC and Batman fans will no doubt be wanting to get their hands on this little set. It has all the details of the ’66 Batmobile including the front part of the car and the tail fins as well. The only thing that missing is the Batman logo on the side of the car but we can’t expect everything little detail in this already cool little set. The Batmobile has 152 pieces and will be sold for $39.99 like the other exclusive sets. It also includes the Batman and Robin minifigures in their classic outfits as well, which unfortunately are the same ones from the Juniors sets. Thanks to Chris for the heads up.

These appear to be the same minis from the Junior Batcave set. The car would be great to have, but at least this isn’t creating a super-rare mini that I’ll never be able to purchase. Always so bitter about the exclusives.
Is this official Lego?? Kinda reminds me of a Gibli version of MY design for Lego-ideas: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/63116
Here’s the full designproces of my Batmobile. Coincidence? Don’t like to say but… I think not. What do you think? Scroll down for early design stages…

This official exclusive set has been finished for a long time, these are not done a week or a month before the event… Do you really think they were waiting for your MOC to steal it?
Here, look at it, in a picture posted mid April: https://twitter.com/LEGO_Group/status/456435262457790464
It’s very possible that it was finished way before April, too.
Thanks for responding! No I do not think ‘they were waiting for my moc in april’. My batmobile design has been on the internet for almost a year now. (mocpages and Eurobricks amongst others) Especially the features that, let’s put it carefully, bear a resemblance. (the cockpit/door/frontfender treatment for instance)
So sad that there’s no details on the mask which make the minifigures kinda useless when you get the junior sets for 30$, I wish they release another one with a mask printed on.
I totally agree… I like that LEGO is finally willing to produce a classic Batmobile, but… It is kinda ugly. It doesn’t have any ‘special features’ like the batmanlogo for instance. And it really is expaaaaansive. I’d say go buy the junior-set for a non acurate but cute batmobile, the same minifigs PLUS Joker, and a bunch of unique Batman (printed) pieces. Just my 2cts.
BUT…I saw another release of a batman minifig with a PURPLE mask!!! That I find more interesting than this batmobile…
This one 😀

Nice! So the only exclusivity is really just the box. The figures can be had and parts bought secondhand or used from your own collection? Awesome. This is how exclusives should be done.
Lego GL vs Sinestro is official guys, take a look at http://www.fbtb.net/itsabouttimegreenlantarnset.com
