BrickFanatics has gotten a copy of July’s Store Newsletter and it an image of the new LEGO CUUSOO Back to the Future DeLorean Time Machine (21103). The flyer also shows the release date of July 18th and will be available in LEGO Stores and at [email protected]. There’s is still no word yet on pricing on the set or how many pieces it will contain. There’s also no word on if there will be any minifigures included. The DeLorean shown in the image is the hover conversion DeLorean from the end of first Back to the Future movie and the main vehicle in the second movie. LEGO has changed the designed a little from the one that Masashi had submitted on CUUSOO. One noticeable difference is the front of the car and the windshield area. Nevertheless, I’ll still be picking up a set when it comes out. Will you be getting it next month when it becomes available to the public as well?
**Update: New images of the set here**
“If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything!”
When Masashi, LEGO fan and founder of a Back to the Future fan site, posted his creation of a LEGO DeLorean time machine on LEGO.cuusoo.com in the summer of 2011, he could not have imagined achieving the 10,000 supporters needed to develop his idea in only a few months. Even more importantly: his model passed all the product tests in 2012 and is now part of the LEGO product assortment.
Congrats Masashi, your dream came true!
