That’s freaking awesome! I wish they would sell just the batmobile with batman & robin separately, that’s all I really want.

Holy gouging Batman, 269.99 USD!! Sorry, but sets with more parts have gone for far less, unless they are trying to sell the idea that licensing causes a set to rise 69.99 USD over 199.99 USD

    • Ryan Meek

SImpsons house has about the same number of pieces and licensing and it sold for 199.99 It does appear that there are several new pieces, at least not pieces I’ve seen before so they could play a role in the price hike

      • pittpenguin123

also batman is more iconic this also has lots of printed pieces also a anniversary set

        • NRD1138

Not as many printed parts as you think, the design on the landing pad are stickers if I am not mistaken.

  3. David4

I don’t see any new pieces. It’s WAAAAAYYYYY overpriced. And for the price should be bigger and have more detail.

  4. Ollie Davies

Holy balls Batman, look at that price!

  5. Davids19

I love the set! But not the price, the main thing I like about the set is the Batcave, Im not to much into the vehicles or the minifigures.

    • aaronrjenkins

I’m total opposite… Want figs and vehicles, no cave let’s make a deal 🙂

      • Davids19

Sure lol! You buy me the set and I will send the minifigures and vehicles xD

I pretty much agree this should be at $200. This would have been a lot easier to swallow if they broke it up into 5 smaller sets at $20 (x2), $40 (x2), and $60. And yes, I realize that’s $180, and that’s about right. They would have sold A LOT more

I usually don’t complain about stickers in sets, but for this price I would really expect the bat computer designs to be printed on. The Batmobile looks awesome, though I could do without the shooters on the front. I may get it for the figures, because that Joker is awesome, that and who hasn’t wanted a Frank Gorshin minifigure. But for the price I am tempted to just spend a bit more and get a 2nd Ghostbuster HQ because that was an amazing set to build. OK Rant done.

  8. Novicebuilder

At $199, this would be a no brainer. At the current price, it’s a heck no. They know that this is for AFOLs only but selling it to only fithy rich ones is a miscalculation.

  9. Peter

Costs to much, but it will sell cause its lego.

  10. Andrew Chiam

oh my God…for that price…..we still need to use STICKERS? come on, print them on the bricks man…..

  11. Buck Brickman

To me this set is horrible, way over priced and in no way resembles the 1960’s BATMAN. Did I mentioned over priced? OK THE BAT MOBILE IS GOOD. It should be sold by its self. What was LEGO thinking about? The only thing colorful is the box the bricks comes in. Its a trick toy companies use to fool you. Way too much monochrome bricks. Maybe the creators need to watch the original series on a color t.v.

While I’m on a rant why did TOYS RUN raise the HULK POLY BAG price to $4.99 and the Star Wars storm trooper Sargeant to $5.99….both from $3.99?

Back to the Bat Cave Robin. I can’t see this set as is do well up against years of upcoming STAR WARS movies unless they do a far both better job.

    Disappointed

    • NRD1138

Hulk was always 4.99 USD, the SW Stormtrooper was raised, but seeing as how hard it was to find around the stores by me Im guessing people would pay that. C-3PO was raised to 5.99 as well, but there are plenty of those in the stores around me still, it is clear that TRU did not have as much stock for Hulk and the Stormtrooper as they did for the C-3PO bag.

  12. HumorPrint

Agree that this is not only overpriced, but should have been broken down into at least 3 sets: The Batmobile, The Batcopter, and then the Batcave. A shame really because I will be skipping this one, but love the Batmobile.

  13. Dane M

Unacceptable price. For only $80 more, you could get a much more substantial play structure: the Ghostbusters Firehouse. It took these guys about 90 secs to describe the whole Batcave. The rest was spent talking about vehicles and minifigs (by far the best part) that should have been made available in cheaper sets. Can you imagine how much money a Batmobile set would have pulled in for them? We’re talking set of the year material. I will hope to buy some of these things separate from the set to save some money.

  14. TheGlynreaper

errrr too be honest im more anticipating the lego friends roller coaster since that line is very very reasonable when it comes to prices and pieces
    £230 is pretty steep

  15. Vaughn Baskin

    Holy Bricks Allen!

  16. jermain burnett
