When do these release? AWESOME!
Probably with the game itself in 9/27…
All these expansions look great, but I have not heard anyone suggest something that would be great for LD: Cartoon Network
1. Like most LD franchises, CN is owned by Time Warner
2. The amount of shows from that channel would at least double the size of the LD universe.
3. It would be a great appeal to both kids and adults depending on the show: whether it be currently airing like Adventure Time or Regular Show, oldies but goodies, like Samurai Jack, Powerpuff girls, Dexter’s Laboratory, or Codename: KND, to serious classics. They already have Scooby-Doo, there is also the Jetsons, Flintstones, Yogi Bear… not to mention Looney Tunes.
Every time I watch something like Steven Universe or like Teen Titans Go(don’t judge me),I always see the WB Animation logo before or after it and always think “Hey,since Steven Universe and the other shows on CN are owned by WB,they might be good candidates in Lego Dimensions.” And then I’d speculate how they’d be created and what shows would fit the bill. Like a Steven Universe Level Pack with Lion and a Cookie Cat as a powerup item.
True, to get some shows in they may have to bend the rules a bit about what qualifies for a pack. For example, Samurai Jack has virtually no significant vehicles while vehicles play a significant part in KND. For SJ, I can see at least two packs, one with SJ and the Scotsman, the other with the Emperor, the cloud he uses in the episode “Birth of Evil” and Aku. Those were pretty much the only characters who appear in multiple episodes.
Still, for a major release of characters and worlds, CN is the perfect candidate.
Imagine Dexter (DL) riding a prehistoric car (Flint) in the land of Ooo (AT). Or Duck Dodgers(LT), Finn, Jake(AT), and Number 1 (KND)going PVP in the Dome of Doom(SJ).
And yes, I despise TTG from the bottom of my heart, but I won’t hold it against you.
Bending the Rules is what this game’s about.
But I honestly see something like KND working because of Galactic Kids Next Door,Regular Show because of the movie. For me basically, relevance is other factor. Although that isn’t to say they won’t put some of the older cartoons as a Hanna-Barbera part of the game.
Galactic KND?
What do you mean by relevance?
Didn’t you hear the original creator of KND has ideas for a sequel to the original series. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NqmHry0Y8D4
I mean relevance by importantance in today.
OMG looks great. I hope CN doesn’t screw it up.
Cartoons in general don’t have much importance today… Besides, if LD is chill with including movies from the thirties and cartoons from the 70s, why not cartoons from the 90s and 2000s? There are a lot of people who have these old cartoons as the core of their childhood and pass them down to their kids. There still a movement out there for Teen Titans Season 6 and Samurai Jack the movie. And, as this trailer proves, even CN hasn’t given up on some of these old timers. I hear they are trying/tried to bring Powerpuff Girls back too.
I guess you’re right about that. But this all boils down to say that we will see Cartoon Network and Hanna-Barbera in LD. Maybe in the next installment.
Also,I can’t wait for the Powerpuff Girls reboot.
Also Also,Ben 10 is going to have a reboot in 2016.

@ Ben10 Another one?
Yep. But technically a reboot,so a new continuity.
LEGO is going to cash in big-time on the Slimer and Stay Puft packs. Even if I don’t buy the $100 starter pack to play the game, I will buy these in a heartbeat.
This makes me want a lego ghostbusters game so bad
Same deal here, going to have to buy just to get puff and slimer….money money where have you gone
Something strange… in the LEGOhood… who ya gonna call?
Brick Busters!
Can I just have my pay checks direct deposited into your account, Lego Group? Let’s just cut out the nonsense
I hope we get some of LEGO’s original themes next year. I don’t mind the “new” properties like Portal and Dr. Who, I just think they should make this more “The LEGO game” instead of “Ultimate Movie Crossover of Ultimate Destiny: LEGO edition”
Are you saying that Portal and the Doctor can’t become LEGO?
When it comes to Toys to life games, one thing to note is that the characters are significant to the world, we would sooner play as Abe Lincoln than as a random county politician or as Superman before a Policeman, so random characters from say, LEGO city wouldn’t make the cut, and I doubt that characters from Pirates or Castle will stand out either. Meanwhile, Disney’s stinginess has more than ensured that SW, Marvel, IJ, Lone Ranger, and Pirates of the Caribbean won’t be on LD anytime soon.
I’m not saying they can’t become LEGO. I just think they should include more of their own stuff like Bionicle, Mixels, Minifigures, Ultra Agents or even Clutch Powers. Also, Star Wars and maybe Marvel will be coming next year.
I thought Disney made it very clear that they would not.
Look it up, it’s happening.
idk When I Google “star wars in lego dimensions” all the articles I see are about Disney’s announcement that it would never happen.
Try checking this site.
Here on BrickFan?
Yep. There was an article coming from a reliable source about Star Wars coming next year. And in-case you’re wondering, it came out after the articles you saw saying it won’t be in.
A link. I beg of you. I need to see this.

Oh yeah, I commented on this a while ago, guess I didn’t read the whole thing. :/ Thanks.
I said it there, I will say it now. I was surprised that most of the initial resistance came Disney, when they could be spinning a profit off of both games.

Here on Brick Fan? Couldn’t find anything.
Im not even gonna get this game.Just the pack to fill my LEGO Minifigure Collection .One of the best announced LEGO Dimensions Pack is the Ghostbuster.
Oh my gosh, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and a Ghostbusters level! I’m gonna get all three of these! The poster of the original ad is quite the
Now that trailer. It explicitly says there’s “14 unique adventure worlds”. If my calculations are correct, either the hub must be huge, or there’s one more mystery franchise
Uh am I the only one who realized that in the trailer, while Homer was riding the Mystery Machine in the Back to the Future level (2015) A Hologram shark appears, as a reference to the second movie having the same thing. Heres the thing I noticed. In Back to the Future II, the movie that the hologram is appearing for is titled “Jaws 19” while in this LEGO trailer, it is titled “Bruce 19″…. reference to a certain animated, fish-friendly, Disney shark? The scene occurs at 1:44 in the video
Good catch!
I did some more research and it most likely is not a reference to Bruce from Pixar’s Finding Nemo film. Bruce is actually the name of Steven Spielbergs’ lawyer, Bruce Raynor. The crew of the movie decided to nickname the shark model “Bruce”. In fact, the reason the Shark in Finding Nemo is named Bruce is a reference to the Jaws Model. Over the years, it has been more official that the shark in Jaws is officially named Bruce.
