One of the larger LEGO DREAMZzz sets is the Fantastical Tree House (71461) which comes in at 1,257 pieces while retailing for $109.99.
The set includes minifigures of Mrs. Castillo, Izzie, Mateo, and the Night Hunter as well as a Dreamling Mushroom, Z-Blob, and Snivel. Mrs. Castillo has the single dress piece with the backpack molded on the back. Her double-sided head shows her with smiles on both sides. Her accessory is the hourglass staff.
Izzie has on the orange shirt with the armor going around it. The legs also has a orange skirt piece added on. Her double-sided head also shows her with smiles. Her accessory is a sword.
Mateo wears a blue shirt with the bandolier going across the torso. The legs have some nice printing of his red shoes. He also wears a green cape to complete his look. His double-sided head shows him with a smirk on one side and a smile on the other. His accessory is a pencil spear.
This set is the other one in the intial wave that has the Night Hunter. He has the same outfit as before with the chains going around the body with magenta accents. He wears a scarf that extends out to the side as well as the hat that has the eye in the front. His accessory is the crossbow.
The Dreamling Mushroom has a light blue body with a smile and has a printed purple cap.
Z-Blob is the same one as in previous sets with the green body and the transparent piece that goes over the head. He does have a green flex tube that I still don’t know what it’s used for.
Snivel has the big head with the tongue sticking out expression. His body is the small black one with an eye in the middle.
The base tree house is fairly plain with some blue leaves and plants hanging from it. There are various street signs with some sleep related wording as well as some banners here and there. On the right side, there’s a swing hanging down from the branch.
In addition on the floor level, there is now has a mushroom plant as a line of defense from the Nightmare creatures.
There’s a small kitchen on the bottom floor with an oven baking some cookies. There’s also a small living room area with a couch and a TV. Izzie’s area has a bed with a Bunchu poster while Mateo has a green roomm with a Z-Blob poster.
There are two alternate builds for the tree house, a party mode and the defense mode. The party mode tree house adds on rooms for Izzie and Mateo. The color schemes for the rooms correspond to the colors they use on their outfits.
Mrs. Castillo also has a spot now with her bagel shop area that has a toaster.
For the defense mode, the rooms are now changed to have some weapons and their locations have also been swapped. Izzie’s room now has some flick balloon missiles while Mateo has some paint stud shooters. Mrs. Castillo toaster also has beenn transformed into a bagel blaster.
As for the Nightmare creature, there’s a small Grimkeeper that has wings. The body cage has enough room to fit a minifigure inside.
There’s also a mailbox robot with clipped arms and legs.
The LEGO DREAMZzz Fantastical Tree House (71461) is actually a decent set for the price. The finished build is a larger than I expected but building the base tree trunk was rather boring. The transformation of the rooms are simple but they do change drastically between the two versions. The minifigure selection is the usual one that we’ve seen before so nothing too special there.
