the perfect version of this set would be the original ship in the bottle from the submission, with this base- expanded so the compass was on one side, and a big ben clock face on the other, because without a clock, you don’t stand much chance of finding your way out on the ocean 😉
I was waiting for this to go on sale, so sure I would buy it immediately….then I noticed the price…..€85 in Ireland. €15 more than the same Euro price in Germany, and much more than the dollar price. Absolutely gutted.
For ALL in the who planned on waiting until the ship in hopes of getting the 60th anniversary set…………. tough luck! (at least in the US).
