LEGO news is just flying off the charts today. LEGO Ideas has just announced the results of the Third 2015 Review. There were two winners chosen and they are Beatles Yellow Submarine and the Apollo 11 Saturn V.
The Beatles Yellow Submarine is, of course, by The Beatles and this set will cater to the older generation who watched and listened to it. The best of all, we get official Beatles minifigures!
The Apollo 11 Saturn V will be another LEGO Ideas space set which should be pretty popular as well.

The Saturn 5 will probably have about 5 sets made and sell out in 2 days like the Mars Rover.
But a Yellow Sub! 8Dies a little from excitement*
Apollo 11 Saturn V is one meter tall? That’s amazing
Very excited for these two. A great round of submissions overall; a shame the FJ and Concorde couldn’t also make it.
I can not stress enough how much better this Beatles set would be with flesh tones instead of yellow. By all means let the submarine be yellow, not the Beatles, thank you
The final set will have flesh tone Beatles. The image shown in the article is just the original submission by the creator, and LEGO no longer makes yellow heads for licensed IPs (unless of course the IP in question had yellow skin, eg. The Simpsons).
*sigh* I can always fix them with a Sharpie…I guess.
Makes the most sense to have these two sets. None of the other sets were practical in terms of size other than the national park service set which is too niche a market.
By announcing two here, i expect the new review project will probably be another situation where they pass. Especially given the only set that’s practical that was submitted was the fossil museum, and we already had fossils in the Lego female scientists ideas set.
So yeah… expect either the Fossils or nothing to win next time.
Also, yet again, nothing original got enough votes or was selected…
I assume when you say practical you mean price wise? Or size wise? If so, look at the Saturn V.
bored by both of them. This will be another ideas set I won’t be purchasing.
I thought the last few sets were as poor as it would get, turns out I was wrong. terrible choice.
I’m a bit surprised the Saturn V made it, since they’ve done at least one set that includes it in the past. I thought the rules kind of discouraged that sort of thing.
Well looks like only all the old senile people remember who the Beetles were and will be buying this
I am pretty excited for these sets, especially the yellow submarine. I almost thought that they wouldn’t do the Beatles since KNex had the license for a while, but I guess the contract expired. http://www.toysrus.com/buy/models/k-nex-yellow-submarine-building-set-48464-23767106
But I am more excited for these sets than the ones from the last review, although the cars from the last one were pretty cool.
